  • what game is that?

  • Second Life

  • cool game...

  • if i fly it over a city, will my friends see me?

  • wow these graphics are so cool!!!

  • Heheh lol. :) At least make the tail light flash white instead of red, just like the real thing. It's nice to have an F-16 in Second Life but still it's nothing compared to a real sim like Falcon 4.

  • There are two, one is red and the other white. I did not know that at the time I put it together. I will fix it if I make another release.

  • One red and one white in yours you mean? Cause the real plane only has a white one.

    Good luck :)

  • AFAIK for night operations the usual practice is to use (on the tail) a pulsating red beacon and a sold white light. That is how the tail is set up on the civil aircraft I have flown. Maybe they don't have to bother on the F-16 because it is military but I'd think they would.

  • Yes normal planes have a red tail light, I am 100% sure that the F-16 only has 1 light on top of its tail, called the Anti Collision Light, and it's white. You can clearly see it in this Red Viper video:

There is also a tail light between the tail and the engine (just below the break parachute housing) which is also white.

  • Some other things you might find interesting... If you do a google search on "f-16 lighting", you see a PDF from goodrich-lighting, in which you can see a picture of the real anti collision light.

Another website you may find interesting is xflight. de (maybe click on the american flag to change the language) then go to Original > Parts > Left Console > Ext Lighting. That's where the pilot sets the external lighting.

  • wenn die das gelesen hast bist du verflucht und wirst in 5

jahren sterben poste diese nachrich unter 10 videos und du

wirst verschont Nicht Lesen ich schütze mich nur selbst

  • Schalten Sie den Computer aus.

  • Well that certainly is a simulator...

  • what is this, it looks so cartoony

  • It is a virtual world called Second Life. Virtual worlds do tend to look a bit cartoony. In this one, it is possible to build objects using simple geometric objects (cones, spheres, cubes, rings, etc.) that we can link together and texture. That is how the jet was built. In the near future it will be possible to build stuff in external modelers like Maya and Blender, and that will give us the ability to make more realistic shapes. (That feature is in beta now.)

  • So all it takes is linking together simple shapes to make a perfect replica of an F-16? Damn, you guys are good.

  • The plane took about 2 weeks to put together, most of which was the geometry. It is not totally accurate as the "legos" we work with don't allow me to do certain things. The feature I mention above (building things in modelers) is now available in production but I'm not going to redo the F-16 from scratch.

  • Amazing video!
