  • cant't this fucktard just stfu???

  • you get to you your own mini-heaven, and i just love them paying their dues it just makes that much more perfect

  • this live jam is elixir for the mind & soul.

LOVE YOU KOOL & THE GANG!

  • Sorry, I can't understand the man @ 4:34

  • @EggTheBox He said "Mr. Art Blakey" which I assume is the artist shown on the photo.

  • Figata assurda!!!!

  • A Brilliant Piece of Music. And it's just chords.

  • @sistalinda not just chord, but a steady chord progression. many tasteful licks and melodies in this song :)

  • @BeatBay Thanks for responding. I clearly did not complete my thought. I should have said it's appeal is concocted over primarily two (2) chords, probably a f # mi7 and g# mi7 (sus 4). I recently had the great fortune of being in a jam session with one of the band members. I think I was preparing to meet him before the session and blasted through some of the vids to get familiar with the repertoire. This is a lovely piece. Always liked it.

  • @sistalinda wow i am so jealous!!!! you played with one of the band.thats awesome!!! oh, thank you.. i never found the right chords. i never thought that the first is a simple maj7 :)

  • ..true muscianship....you can tell they love what they do.....

  • This is one of the baddest jams of all time. And certainly one of my favorites. Kool & The Gang, masters of the music game. In a class by themselves, for various reasons. Those of them who have move on to another plane,PEACE and LOVE.

  • man, what can i say?

  • anyone know where to get this on dvd/vhs?

  • ...........the Apollo Theater was where we were....long, long, long :-) time ago.....the dry ice machine was pumping, they played the intro almost 15 minutes before Brother Ricky West even began his mastery on the keyboard. I think the tickets were $10.00 for 4 acts. No drama, no drugs, no mobile phones. Just a bunch of people of goodwill observing the "era of being cool" sitting back almost being put to sleep by these 'scientist of sound, mathematically putting it down'. Respect!

  • Kool and the gang you are the best.

  • This is truly an amazing track! If you dig funk, and even with herb its better!

  • Man, I can only imagine with herb. I am actually ordering herb this weekend to sit & chill with a chick & listening to this haha.

  • yeah.............................nice

  • This song takes me back when great vibes and music was emlightening to the heart and soul.

Take me back to the past, and away from today's garbage music.

  • Ahhhhhh .......the Jazz and original Kool and the Gang pre Disco era. They were the forefront of the Philly and Chicago sound.

    Excellent group with lasting roots.

  • We should never forget the Masters of the Art Form known as Jazz. Ma, Bessie, Jelly Roll, Pops, Smack, Lion, Duke, Ella, Fats, Bird, Diz, Eddie Jefferson, Billie, Prez, Count, Hawk, Miles, Bags, Sarah, Klook, Monk, Bu, Cleanhead, Dinah, Max, Newk, Wes, Brownie & Trane, to mention a few... We Love You!!!
