I can see why Fender named a Statocaster after him. RIP. Rory. Wish I listened to more of his music in the 70's. Awesome, Totally reminds me of Johnny Winter in vocal style.

june 14 - 15 YEARS ON & I still say & I have the right say in my piddly opinion as such that NOONE & I do say NOONE TOUCHES THIS GUY IN ROCK/BLUES PERIOD EVER - CASE CLOSED to me!! Gallagher was pure - a genuine honest musician & by all accounts a class act & gentleman. But JUST LISTEN TO THIS GUITAR!!!! GOD!! you'd need 5 guitarists CRANKED to come close this. No offence but you can all have Clapton, Hendrix or the new crop I'll keep Rory. RIP - hope you found your peace at last.

all i can say is thank god for all of them ,rory ,srv,hendrix,roy,beck the list goes on and on - all the way back to the early black blues artist . they just build upon each other and the great music keeps going on . the great thing is we have their  music and images for as long as we human stick around .met and saw rory=== amazing and a great guy! long live music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there will never be anyone better in ROCK then Steve Marriott or Rory Gallagher period. Everyone copied & swiped from em but they are it. Their genuine & pure love of their music, their raw power, their wonderful voices & amazing guitar sounds, my God! Both of em played with the best too cauae they were the best! Listen to Rory G play or Marriottt in ANY BAND he was in! Hope they're together zoomin round the universe in a peace they never found here. Play on & shine Rory you are SOO missed!

@grga888 rory was a WAY better songwriter than SRV although SRV was probably a better player, but rory is the best live!
