It might look funny to the dopes among you, but a shot in the back of the head is very serious. All autonomic bodily functions are controlled there (breathing, BP, heart beat, etc). The first thing anyone must be taught before starting any training where falling is a hazard is....yes, how to fall. Once you know how to fall, this doesn't happen. How to fall properly should be taught in pre-school, and practiced through young adulthood. You'd see far fewer injuries. Hope he's ok.
