  • will a AMD Phenom II X6 2,6ghz and gt330 2gb run this game good? :o

  • what pc do you have to made that settings LoL

  • hoezo hollands hahaha:P

  • would anyone mind telling me what vsync does?

  • vsync limits the frame rates of ur game to ur monitor's referesh rate.... dis is to make FPS constant on all types(high end and low end) of systems.... and the human eye can't detect much more den 60 FPS so it doesn't have any impact on performance..

  • I was going to comment that your pc sucks before i saw antialising xD

  • @sereda008 x2 AA isn't going to dumb the fps that much..

his computer is very good, note Crysis is a nVidia GPU optimized game.

my GTX260 gets a lot better frames than him, but I bet we'd be equal in other games.

  • im not a professional computer engineer, but i think that u can use 4xAA or 8xAA with HD4870x2

  • ATI cards can't run AA very well. The framerate plummets if you turn it on.

  • ok, but the second best vid card is the HD4870x2... the first is nVidia GTX290 i think

  • gtx295>gtx290

    :P

  • should turn the anti-aliaising up too the highest, and the motion blur all the way up, then your maxed out =)

  • Looks proper but I'd still go with the 9800 gtx black editon

  • of course thats enough for the max. settings

  • do u think i can play crysis or crysis warhead on max settings with a intel core I7 920 and 2.66 GHz proccessor speed. 12GB DDR3 SDRAM. and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX285? graphics card or at least high settings ? or close ?

  • Nope, only the lowest settings on 640x480 /sarcasm

  • you will rape the game in the face :)

  • Comment removed

  • Your card is WAY too powerful for 1024x768. I suggest you get rid of that monitor right away and get a monitor at at LEAST 1680x1050 to unlock that card's full potential.

  • You play like shit.

  • he must have overclocked the card because it has artifacts everywhere...

  • Yeah dutch accent

  • lol that accent je bent nederlands he :P

  • lol PSU can start ur car :P

  • lol, if you guys actually played this game you would know that THIS PART OF THE MAP DOES LAGG, LIKE 20FPS LAG and a bit lower. I have 2 GTX 260's in SLI and Q6600 @ 3.2ghz, yes i know there is a little bottleneck with mine. And I do get the same results. But with most processors, unless you have an i7 which believe it or not does increase ur frames by about 15 due to the fact you can get that beastly 920 to 4.2ghz on air cooling + its a whole new architecture.

  • Hey do you guys know if this should be good enough to play crysis, Processor:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+ 2.80 Ghz

    Ram: 4.0 GB

    System Type: 64 bit

    Memory: 450 GB

I bought it without finding this stuff out and now it lags really badly with all the setting on low, so could you tell me what i need to do to make it run better please? And my normal fps is 5.

  • processor is not all that you need. that processor is good, but you need a separate graphics card, integrated graphics (built into the motherboard) is not powerful enough.

  • Yes more GB makes game run faster

  • NOt necessarily......i have 3 GB and Crysis never uses more than 950 MB on Very High, and Warhead uses around 1.1 GB, same system.

  • just have their recommended 2 gigs of ram and warhead should run just fine guys

  • you need a better gpu also you'll do better with an intel core 2 duo or quad or phenom from amd

  • best overduidelijk :D

  • Is it me or is the fps very low?

  • Wth , something is really wrong with your pc !!! fps is too low for this rig ,or maybe it's just your CPU ! It's kinda old already

  • yeah, his CPU is bottleneck'ing the power of the graphics cards.

  • you do know if i put an 100 fps movie in front of u and an 35fps movie you would most likely not notice the difference so why pay extra to get 80fps when your eyes wont recognize over 35fps

  • lol your stupid.

The human eye can perceive the difference between 35 and 60 fps.

    Its different son.

  • moron of course human eye can easily notice the difference 35 and 80 fps.if you cant its your problem.

  • lol i am have this fps with my single hd4890

  • if u have fraps why dont u just record with that?

  • cause his fps is not enough?

  • does this machine have page file turned off or turned on? My performance went up so much doing that. Occasionally it says im low on memory while playing. and I only play at maxed graphics settings, 2x AA at 1280x1024 with a radeon 4850 512mb, 4GB kingston hyper x 5-5-5-15, phenom 9600BE 2.3GHZ with tlb patch turned off.

  • Strange, I can run Warhead at the same settings and at average of 45 fps on basically an equal rig, but with only a normal HD4870 (1GB)

  • what do you think i can get with Two dual Geforce 285 GTX cards and I7 920 processor and 6g mem?

  • I don't know. Never had any Geforce Cards, can't say about the power. Also, never had an i7 or more than 4 gigs of ram. Plus, its not only hardware that has an impact on gaming performance

  • im pritty sure you know that it would run fantasticly... you just wana show off. Oh how good can i play crysis this is my rig. *im soooo awsome* he says to himself.. I WANT YOUR COMPUTER MAN, I WANT IT BADDDD!!!!!!!!!!!! jellous

  • i was just specculating.. i don't have so good computers... i have motorcycles instead !

  • 45 FPS at 1920*1200 on Crysis is siiiick... you must have made a mistake !

  • man this shit looks real

  • can someone please give their opinion on my gaming build, theres a video on my page. i am not spamming just getting my video known!

  • you MUST be dutch.

  • @Colubedy haha idd

  • hmm does crysis warhead come with the sandbox mode? and also do they plan to do some recoding of crysis 1 anytime soon so it can be as playable as warhead? Has any1 heard?

  • i get a steady 50 frames with core i7 overclocked at 4ghz with dual gtx295 and 6gb of ram

  • wtf u should be getting way more. how fast is ur RAM?

  • No he shouldn't, trust me I have an almost identical rig, and I in fact get slightly lower fps due to a lower clock speed on my Q6600, its cos Crysis favours Nvidia cards over ATI ones.

  • yea but he has a Nvidia car

  • i wish my car was made by nvidia

  • lol i meant card

  • yeah i know lol i just pokin fun haha

  • What if fun doesn't like to be poked? :P

  • well if fun doesn't like to be poked and poking isn't fun i guess that all the fun will go away and the poking will cease to exist..... now do u really want that to happen????? make your choice now Mr poker

  • im tryin to upgrade my pc im investing 1000 dollars tell me if it was worth it intel core2 q9300 quad nvidia 9800gtx2 and 750watt psu i already have vidta 64 500gb of memory and 6gb of ram

  • Congrats, your PC is faster then a 360 :)

  • Comment removed

  • cry moron

  • ...u suck

  • Dude ,recording in with fraps wouldnt kill you,You have 2x HD4870

  • Maybe with a Core i 7 at 4 Ghz and next gen video cards playing Crysis all maxed out with 60+ fps will be possible.

  • what i like about ati is,the higher the settings, the higher the fps...

  • To fix tearing: Maybe if you enable it in the CCC. It's worth a try =)

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, it should do you pretty good.

  • somebody just answer please how many FPS will u get if u have

    Asus P6T DELUXE

    2GB DDR3 Ram (Kingston HyperX)

Intel Core i7 Quad 920 not overclocked

    Sappire Radeon HD4870 x2

and u play crysis with 1280x1024 resolution

    and no xAA ?

  • alot lol

  • You wont get any FPS, because there isn't any X58 motherboard that would support only 2Gb's of Ram. It's tri channel, get at least 3, 1Gb sticks. Once you get it, overclock that 920 with the touch of a button and you can play Crysis at 1920 x1200 WITH AA and AF filtering.

  • If you play at 1280 x 1024 then you will only say oh my GOD from the performance and the ram get atleast 3 times 1 GB

  • I have HD 4850. I want a Crysis warhead. Would it run on 4850 ?

  • yeah, 4850's own too.

  • Dude how much disk space this baby actually takes?? i know it says 16gb in the requirements.. but then again i have a 160gb Hard drive...so im a little short in it..

  • 5.56 Gigs on my HDD

  • Nice !

  • How does this sound on running Crysis? Case: Antec 300 Processer: Intel dual core 2.6 GHz Motherboard: ASUS P5Q HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 500GB RAM: G.Skill 4GB VideoCard: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 DVD: Samsung Black 22X PSU: BFG Tech LS 550W OS: Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP1 HSF: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283
  • would run quite nice, the hd4870 is great

i dont know much about intels, but if its lagging i think its the cpus fault, but oc will help ;)

  • What resolution/grpahics settiings do you reccoment for this?

    intel core 2 duo e8400(3.0ghz)

    4gig ocz ddr2 800 ram

    evga 9800gt 512 mb

    evga 750i(not FTW version)

  • lol. using fraps as showing framerate... didint come across your mind to use it as recording system too?

  • lol no of course I am not using Fraps as recorder when I want to show fps.

Ever noticed what a hit your fps take when fraps is recording in the background ?

  • You cant run with 4870x2 this game at 16xq AA at 1080p? I thought that card could.

    What about normal crysis?

  • @Rombbb try it without recording sound

  • @NuBcoke yeah because that's gonna show us a accurate performance indication of the 4870x2

    moron

  • lol dude you can turn of vsync in ati control panel

  • i hate how the shadows look brown

  • Does VSync not allow the frame rate go higher than the refresh rate? I am not sure. By the way Crysis Warhead is amazing.

  • Yea. But if you have VSync on you don't have those lines that across SOMETIMES on the screen.

  • Im getting a q6600

  • game really does look a little better than 1280x1024. Most of the time higher resolutions don't make much of a difference to me once you past the 1280x1024 or 1280x800 (widescreen) range, with with crysis you need the higher resolution to experience the technology.

    good vid

  • i would love to have your comp` :|

  • sweet nice setting bro,i listen do your advice and turned of vsyn and it works fine now, everything max out thanks.

  • HOLY VAGINA!

    I envy you...

  • how many fps do you think i would get with a q9550 4870 x2 and asus rampage formula? the 9550 will be overclocked to 4,3

    ghz

  • Nice System but don't record with cellphone is sux.4/5

  • So having a 64 bit OS doesn't lock you out of playing Warhead? I have a guy making me a machine similar to yours with 64 bit Vista (and that same Sapphire card) and I'm worried about not being able to play Warhead or other 32-bit games.

So, basically, it's still ok? I only went 64bit to get the 8GB of RAM I wanted.

  • indeed 64bit is no problem for Warhead 32bit.

Also read somewhere that 64bit support will be made available later on as a patch for Warhead so that could possibly improve performance further

  • How come you're playing 2xAA and not bigger if your processor and videocard is that nice? :o

  • 8GB is just over kill. It's like saying you need 2TB of hard drive space.

  • OMFG!!! SOO SEXY!! IT HURTS MAH BRAIN

  • dude nobody cares on frame rate i'm one of those gamers that just play it as long it doesn't lagg on max settings.

  • 1 think i dont understand in the v sync function what does it do??

  • Vsync decreases screen tearing by synchronizing game frames per second to monitor frames per second (if I'm not mistaking) which provides more calm clear image but at the cost of number of frames per second. So turning vsync off gives you a fps boost but also introduces (some) screen tearing. Vsync is an option under graphics settings in most games.

  • if you see about 6 too 8 second in the screen, there is a problem.

  • love the vid man. awsome finaly sum1 showin its true power at a high res. every1 tries to make it look bad by using a low res where they know it gets less fps so thanks for teh vid it was awsome 5 stars and a subscription!!!!!!

  • Thanks dude!

Now finished Warhead and into Stalker Clear Sky (also maxed out at 1920x1080 on the 4870x2) but really waiting for Fallout3 and Farcry2 :)

But on the card itself; indeed it's super. I've had like some Voodoo card, then Ati x800xt, then X1900XTX, then 2x HD3870 in Crossfire and all the time I thought f*ck it, spending lot of $ as early adopter and now I can max everything out ... (see directly below)

  • ... and in a sense all those cards did to a degree, but the HD4870x2 exceeded my expectations. All former cards were an evolution while the HD4870x2 in my book is a revolution. I mean it plays Crysis maxed completely ok.

It's way more a step ahead then all previous cards compared to their former generation.

  • yah i agree completely every1 that hates ati makes it look bad at low res cause they know it only uses 1 core until at least at 1680.. they piss me off lol. again amazing vid and i am subscribed lol. they need to hurry the fuck up and release fall out 3 lol they have had gameplay vids for a year so stop taunting us and release it!!!!!! lol. farcry 2 is gonna be amazing!

  • you PC ?

  • me pc ...

  • configuration

  • click 'more info' in the top right corner (below my username) and you get all the specs.

    Copy/paste :

    Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz with Thermalright extreme ultra 120 cooler

    Corsair 4x1GB DDR2 800mhz Pro series with 5-5-5-12 or something, I forgot :)

    Asus Maximus Formula mobo

    Sapphire HD4870x2

    Creative X-fi

1200W Thoughpower PSU (can start my car)

  • Is that DX10?

  • yep, dx10, all on max settings, except AA, which is 2x. 4xAA doesn't reduce fps much, but I hardly see any difference on 1920x1080 resolution so keeping it at 2xAA.

  • I don't know, but warhead doesn't seem to run much smoother than the original crysis. What do you think?

  • its smoother, but it looks worst and its easy as fuck.

  • I have to agree with you

Although I do think with the bigger number of enemies now you really need your suit tricks, while in original Crysis I rarely used sprint or power boxing.

In short it's way more action. But indeed I have yet to decide which one looks better, am thinking the orginal one. Warhead looks bit more cartoony

  • yes I noticed that too

  • yes this game does run smooth i can max it out with my 8600GTs

  • are you from holland??

  • Yep, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Have to do something about my accent :)

  • haha ik kom ook uit nederland:P ik kon het horen. maar je engels is niets op aan te merken, net als je video;)
