That is not true. I've never heard of this in China or Hong Kong. Look at the source: From Apple Daily News. This media is good at making news out of nothing.
@mlal1027 i know apple daily isn't the greatest source, but it sure beats any "news outlet" in china. also, just because you haven't heard of it, how do you know it's not true? i mean, china's not really known for having freedom of the press. or am i wrong?
@ahbying: Because I live in HK and as you know, some of the HK people hate China soooo much.... If that was the case, I'm sure those people would shout it out. Freedom of press? Honestly speaking, there is no true freedom of press in the world, even in the U.S. or Japan. I don't know if you have ever been in China, China is not as bad as you think. There are rude people, I admit, but there are lots of nice people too. BTW, are you wearing LA lakers cap?
@mlal1027 there's definitely a lot wrong with media in the U.S. and Taiwan, but to say it's similar to china's in not having having freedom of the press in anyway is a far stretch. last i checked, journalists weren't being harassed in the U.S. or Taiwan. I have qualms with the Chinese gov't, not the chinese people. HK is great, i've been there a few times.
i was just wearing a cap to cover my bald head. haha.
Somebody ought to edit the bullhorn footage into the Nicholas Cage movie "National Treasure" and replace some of the dialogue. Kuso makes Chicoms and Chinese Nationalists cry.
