I don't think any of these songs are from the Knives sessions, they sound completely different.

I'm quite certain they are from when she went to Buenos Aires, because she described the songs she wrote there as simpler and these certainly are.

I love the first song a lot.

I love how she can sing the saddest song in the world and than write some of the happiest songs.

Though that is a fairly reasonable conclusion, I doubt she's really WORKING on a new album right now, seeing as she's still caught up in the fuss of Metric's upcoming record (which is KILLING me, because I wan't it!), but maybe after that's out of the way.

Metric Album has me so excited.

Well that was the premise of What Is Free to a Good Home? (songs that were excluded from Knives) Maybe there were more. I really have no idea, Emily is a mystyfying person.

Emily in one interview said she was forced to cut like 10 somngs.

So even with What is Free to a Good Home's extra outtakes out of the way, she has quite a few left over.

I think these are some of them, personally.

But I was never much of an optimist.
