Okay I did pretty well speed running on (Episode 1) Maps 1 and 2, but I tried speed running level 3...I died 50 times or more. Crazy! I can never master speed running level 3 on Ultra Violence...when I take my time though, that's a different story.

About E2L2 you're party right. As you might know, maps of Doom/Heretic/Hexen/Strife are sector based. This means that every room, door, stair, step is made of 1 or more sectors. Yes, there is no switch on the wall. But above the spot he hit to make bridge r(a)ise is a window and behind that window is switch. Since the sector where the switch is not sealed. It's connected with the sector of that Nukage canal by that window. At certain angle you can hit the switch through wall. It takes some tries

Doorway is blocked. When he turns right to run into room (02.35) he wastes time to kill shotgunguy, then he continues his run to key. However the next shotgunguy which he left alive and passes (02.38) was standing just under the door.

Now 02.39 when he passes the barrel there's a linedef that triggers the door close (which opens again in 30 secs) But when he crosses the linedef, and the door closes there was that shotgunner below the door. That blocked. So the door stayed open. Tried it...

Agreed. The only real difficulty you get in Ultra Violence is ammo limitations. You don't get much, and you have to scavange in Episode 2 to 4.

If you buy the Collectors Edition (Doom 1, 2, and 3) it has all the patches and updates to make it work on as far as I know ever running system out there. Maybe problems on Vista but then again nothing fun works on vista. Nothing in general works on vista for that matter.

I got scared by this game when i was four thanks to my brother. Coming into my room while i was sleeping, put the game on and lowered the volume... having the chainsaw armed then turning the volume up and RRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOM... scared the holy shit out of me. Cool video. I had this game on the 32X, but I only remember it having like 12 levels, plus a few secret levels if you get 100% secrets on certain maps. Also there was no spidermind or steam demon. So I guess the PC version has a lot more to it, that's cool. Maybe one day I'll get this for old time's sake.
