I always thought it was funny that for every part of each level I had a favorite character that I always used for each part....like nightcrawler to kill apocalypse, cyclops on the second level, nightcrawler on 1st level, wolverine for deathbird, nightcrawler to kill sabertooth...etc.
Avoid the metal projectiles until Magneto gets tired of that method, then he'll try to fight you in a more hands on way, avoid him some more until he stops floating and his little shield is down, then smack him. It'll take time but it should work. I'd use Wolverine and Nightcrawler for it, they're more agile.
Good luck if you download it you'll end up like me after Mojo when your suppose to reset the game the emulator will reset the game completely instead of a gentil reset to proceed on the the next stage.
If it is ESA protected than that's a damn shame just like "Super Mario All Stars" I believe but it wasn't when I downloaded it years ago and don't worry about the legal BS they have no way of knowing if you have the game. The whole scare tactic is you must own the game to download it but I used to own the game and if I didn't i'd still download it.
the 16 bit games were the best.... genisis was kewl... before the time when games got really adult themes like grand theft auto and stuff.. these are the classics.... : )

I didn't beat this game forever. I got it for Christmas when I was 6 and didn't beat it until I was 17. hahaha I didn't play any games for about 5 years.
I can beat it now in 12 minutes flat with Nightcrawler.
I smoked this game in less than 15minutes using nightcrawler most of the time, you can skip 90% of the game with him in each level using his teleport ability
that one cheat is great. hold down and A-C the entire time when you turn the game on, plug in controller 2 when Magneto has his intro quote, and bam. teleport to any level. I didn't know this game had tons of goodies in the level to help you beat it...
i can complete this whole game (without cheats) in 20 minutes or less, and if you don't believe me, that's your problem! and people miss way too many secret goodies in this game, it makes me sick! lol
I loved this game when I was a kid. To me , it is still the best console X-Men game of all time, a true classic. It took my brother and myself at least 2-3 weeks to reset the Genesis, for the mojo level. Great times.

one of the hardest games i ever played but i'm proud i was only 10 or 11 and made it to the frinal stage with no cheats and i didnt even knew you can stop the time in the danger room to regain health properly i had to rush and i still made it to the last stage.
I hate it when Wolverine's claws counted as his mutant energy. That just sucked the fun outta the game. Graphics were decent for its time, but this game was unfairly difficult not to mention the controls were less responsive. Wolverine's power should've been berserker rage of and allow his claws to be an attack. Why is Nightcralwer the worst jumper and his mutant power is enhanced agility?!

yeah, you hit the "reset" button. You know, the red button, I think on the genesis. I think this is the only game ever put out that requires you to do that.
I remember being so pissed because I could never find the button it kept telling me to push! I actually just decided that Mojo would be the final boss for me. So, I beat him (for the upteenth time) and just hit the reset button to start over. I was shocked when I went on to the next level!

@ZombieThugginPro i never said that he was cheating. i know that he didn't use any cheats. if you read my comment properly and used your brain you would see that i requested that he put up a video beating the last 3 levels of the game (in the same manner that he did the 1st 3 levels) because i know how difficult those levels are, especially the last one. what he did in this vid i did countless times as a kid.

You used a lot more of your mutant powers then I ever did, I tended to save them for boss fights.

yeah, you hit the "reset" button. You know, the red button, I think on the genesis. I think this is the only game ever put out that requires you to do that.

I remember being so pissed because I could never find the button it kept telling me to push! I actually just decided that Mojo would be the final boss for me. So, I beat him (for the upteenth time) and just hit the reset button to start over. I was shocked when I went on to the next level!

@triniking41 Last time i checked, using the X-men aids, using Wolverine's claw lunge as a power jump, and using Nightcrawler's teleport power to go through walls isn't cheating,

@ZombieThugginPro i never said that he was cheating. i know that he didn't use any cheats. if you read my comment properly and used your brain you would see that i requested that he put up a video beating the last 3 levels of the game (in the same manner that he did the 1st 3 levels) because i know how difficult those levels are, especially the last one. what he did in this vid i did countless times as a kid.
