  • loosing 88 pound eating regular food just causes one more disease, starvation. loosing 88 on the paleo diet isnt starvation. its nutrition gluttony.

  • go eat some raw eggs or sausages youll be like-10 just for that...-10 years

  • lmao she displayed the cucumber and apples to resemble dick and balls! sneaky ass ol lady!

  • this lady rocks !

  • Your hillarious. Two apples and a banana to look like a smily face, and two apples and cucumber to look like, umm. :)

  • @waycoolzing LOL! I thought I was the only one that noticed that!

  • @waycoolzing She must be Adam Lambert fan, LOLLOLOL!

  • The loud horrid sound effects is annoying and obnoxious. The salad looks beautiful, atleast.

  • @snowleopard010

I take calcium. I track my nutrition so I know what I am getting. I don't get much calcium from food so I take supplements.

  • that cucumber!

  • Macomarell, may I ask you - what about chick peas, lentils, quinoa? I get the message about whole grains.

I know that, even if they are not 'really grains' they are still excluded from a Paleo diet's menu.

What substitute do you have for these legumes in terms of the 'filling effect'?

  • I don't eat beans much a few times a year if that. I am fine eating lean meats, they are filling and long term satisfying.

I feel bloated when I eat legumes any starch really.

I have never tried quinoa, isn't it a man made product from whole grain?

I doubt I will ever have it.

  • @macomarell Quinoa is actually a seed cultivated by the indigenous people of the Andes mountains in South America. It looks like grain, but it has complete protein that whole grains don’t. It is easily prepared with either water or broth. Many diets use it because it’s low in calories. A one half cup serving is very filling and will not give anyone bloat. My experience with quinoa over the last two years has been exceptional, even when I am a type II diabetic. I hope you try it sometime soon.

  • @GodsPower10 type 2 diabetes is curable so what is your problem?

  • Eggs are perfectly OK on the paleo diet.

  • Yes, eggs are fine, just not everyday. I love eggs.

    marjie

  • thats a good healthy plan BUT cant live like that forever =/ but once it a while I like ,

  • I do eat like this everyday. It is very easy to do and very healthy. I have been doing it for 2 years with no plans to ever stop. I am very happy to find that processed grains was killing me and to never eat them again.

    marjie

  • 1:20 -1:25 she totaly made that look like a dick with some balls lol

  • haha

  • mmmm yummy I really like that

that salad recipe thanks for sharing:)

I should start putting raisons on

    my salads more often,They serve

a mediteranian salad w/ raisons at keleys and I LOVE it so much I beleive

    dressing is made w/EVOO &Oranges:)

  • Orange sounds good with this too.

I am going to make another big bowl of this salad again today.

  • That salad looked awesome! I had suspicions your diet was the Paleo diet. Hope these new changes get you where you want to be Marjie. :)

    Heather :)

  • I had been doing the Paleo diet all along and didn't know it. Now I need to buy the books about it. It has really changed my life. I am surprised at how easy it is to do.

  • Skinny B...Is there a science behind eating only fruit for breakfast & snack? My Aunt was doing that & I know theres something to it but I dont remember what she said. Im interested & may want to do that myself. Thank you...:)

  • Fruit in the mornings because it takes only 1/2 hour to digest. If you mix other foods with fruit in the stomach, like a protein, it slows down the digestion and the fruit ferments. Eating fruit in the mornings fills me up.

  • 400 caloried burned is awesome! Nice salad, looked really good. I don't think I could do fruit only for breakfast. I don't use dressing on salad (I can't remember when I gave it up) lol

  • When I think about it 400 calories burned is pretty good.

Eating fruit in the morning makes a day pretty simple. Fruit in any amount, a whole cantaloupe maybe. I find eating fruit is easy, I don't have to plan it or cook anything or even wash dishes afterward.

  • I love the picture at 1:20 this salad looks really good, thanks for sharing.

  • That salad was good. I am making another one tomorrow.

    Thanks

  • i'm not to into mixing my fruit and veggies together in one bowl..but it did look good.. i think i'm gonna try that dressing though. :)

  • For some reason apples taste really good in a salad and I love the sweetness of the raisins in it. That salad was for 4. I ate it in 2 days and made another one.

I am totally hooked on that book now.

I think you would like that dressing. Let me know what you think of it.

  • Such a great video!

    I loved your presentation :D

  • Thanks,

    I try :-)

  • great video. I love you're plan. You seem very determined now, i don't know if i could part with my beloved dairy. lol. I have to think very highly of your videos.

    -Jen

  • Thanks Jen,

I gave up milk 19 months ago, but held onto Cottage Cheese for some strange reason. My first week without has been great. No more rumbles in the tummy.

  • I love to burn calories! YUM raw food looks good and is the better alternative, wow what are you gonna do without your beloved cottage cheese?

I dont like dairy products either. I will adopt a few of your ideas as well, keep us posted

  • Cottage Cheese, i know I was enjoying that 1/2 cup a day. But, now I won't be getting those tummy aches anymore, I sure will like that.

  • You're right....You have to do the one that works for you :)

  • Yep, most diets work, we just have to find one we like and stick to it. Well, in my case alter it often. :-)

  • RAW FOOD! good choice :P YUM

    the desserts are the BEST

  • The desserts in the book I have seem great. I am thrilled I will be having chocolate after dinner now.

  • I picked up a juicer at Walmart for like 50 dollars on sale so check out a walmart or a trader oes or price club or something you don't need an expencive one. your lunch look so good. how much of the mustard and lemons and oil did you put into the salad dressing. Your meals always look so good. I like the little joke you threw in so cute. made me chuckle. have to check out your blog. thanks for your support Angie

  • I have never been to Walmart. What brand is it?

I haven't started looking except online.

I noticed I typed that joke wrong.

    Dumb me.

  • its a hamilton beach brand its fairly good. works well. you have never been to walmart I think I remember you saying something about in a video. you should check them out. the super stores have a good price on produce and meats and stuff as well. well I still got it was funny, your not dumb your a very smart lady.

  • Good for you! I couldn't do it! good luck to you! ttyl then! bye bye

  • You couldn't do what?

  • never mind ive done something simular to this diet plan in the past .. i guess i could do it.. anyway .. Good luck on your change in plan.. Your kicking butt at working out girl!! buring 400 calories is GREAT!!!

  • You Need to get:

150 Healthiest Foods on Earth, by Johnny Bowden.

This Book is Amazing....Thats How I Eat!)

Glad to see you back Marjie...I Missed You!)

  • I saw that at the book store. I will look into it.

Right now I want the Paleo diet book. It is about not eating grains and milk. My life. Hope you are feeling better!!!

  • Haha, the cucumber and apples made me giggle.

  • For some reason apples and cucumbers always end up like that around here, in grocery stores, at farmers markets, any place I see them actually, even eggplant and peppers. Strange how they do that :-)

  • i thought i was the only one who noticed that, haha

  • I am surprised so few people noticed. It is in a few other video too. I am so bad. :-)

  • Thanks so much.

  • I really love that book! I was 75% Raw for a while and I hope to get back to it one day -- I really did feel great and so many of the recipes were so yum!

  • The book is great. It fit me perfectly. I am on level 3 from the start. That means cooked dinners.

She uses so much of my favorite foods and lots of dried fruit. Sounds custom made for me.

  • wow ur really restricting a lot

dont follow a raw diet for TOO long haha

    im jealous tho

    looks amazin

    yay for 88

  • I am not eating all raw, just breakfast and lunch.

I don't restrict anything that is healthy. I get all the nutrients my body needs from food. I try not to eat things that it doesn't need like milk, grains, starches and sugars.

    It's pretty easy really.

  • I tried to eat raw food. I just can't. I need the good carbs and dairy, lol. Good luck, you have lots of will power. U can do anything :) 400 calories is better then none. Keep it up!

    Cheers,

    Mari

  • I am not eating all raw. I couldn't do that either. I have a cooked dinner just like I always have.

I get plenty of good carbs. They are off the chart.

    Dairy makes me puffy.

  • couldnt hear this either just the ocassional sound effect and it looks like I wasnt alone?????????

  • Dang, I am trying to figure out why it works for some and not others.

  • Hi Marjie, That salad looks wonderful. You know one thing I found that when I consume conventional dairy I get upset stomach but when I consume fresh from the farm dairy (we buy it from a local farm that is inspected daily and certified for raw milk /cheese sale) I do experience no ill effects. Of course, dairy is not the only source of calcium as is believed. Greens are high especially kale. ! I like Rejuvenate Your Life- Recipes for Energy by Serene Allison, too. You are an inspiration 2 me!

  • Weird about the different dairy's.

I gave up milk 18 months ago, I don't miss it one bit. I do eat kale and I also take calcium supplements.

I will look for the book.

  • You get an Upset Tummy from Reg Dairy because the Cow's are Grain Feed, Not Grass Feed Organic Dairy.

In Conventional Dairy, they add so much to is to Pasturize it, and then they basicly add back things to Enrich it agian, like some people are lactose intolerant, but if they drink Raw Milk they can handle dairy...Very Strange, but its no Coinsidence.-NP

  • That salad looks delicious! I forgot to pick up romaine lettuce this week, will have to go get some. I liked your joke about romaine-ing friends...

  • Thanks,

    Romaine is so good.

  • i love your videos! good luck with all the changes! i do think we all need dairy, but if you are getting your calcium at least i guess you will be fine...

your audio only comes in MONO, it's wierd that your video is HD and sound isn't...just a note

    have a great day! :D

  • I need to find what is going on with the sound. I compress in what I think is the right way. I will double check my Quick Time settings.

Calcium is in dark green leafy veggies. The complete kind of calcium unlike milk that needs to be added.

  • For some reason I could only hear the sound effects & music but not what you were saying?? :S

  • I am so sorry. I am trying to figure out why this happens.

  • Your sound affects cracked me up, Marjie! Super good luck with your new plan. That recipe looks delish... I will definitely have to try that...

  • Thanks, that salad is fantastic. I can't wait for lunch today.

  • You don't like garlic?? sacrilege!! LOL but your dressing looks yummy! I have that book in my Amazon cart!! I've been planning to get it, and her other book too. I dont think I could go 100% raw, and definitely can't go vegan..I love eggs and cheese and yogurt ...and chicken...LOL ..but raw food interests me. I'm subscribed to a few really good raw food channels here..lots of raw foodists use a Vitamix ..still expensive but probably less than that one..try Ebay..and a dehydrator :O)

  • No garlic here. My husband is Greek and he doesn't like it either.

The book is not about all raw. There is a cooked meal for dinner. She even uses Goat cheese and eggs.

No cow milk though. I gave up milk 18 months ago.

I will look into that Vitamix.

I don't need a dehydrator. I won't be doing that type of raw.

I couldn't do 100% raw either. Just breakfast and lunch is enough for me.

    Hope you get the book.

  • Good video Marjie and good luck with new program!! =) R

  • Thanks R77

I already love it. There is so much more to it than just raw. It is also food combining.

  • you already look like a skinny B! :-)

Your recipes look yummy. Keep it up.

    xox,

    Beth
