  • Brent, thanks for your reply. I have one other question. Does your overhead video on your tennis lessons include the backhand smash as well as the forehand smash?

  • Brent, I have a question. What do you do then if you are forced to hit a backhand smash?

  • @HisMajesty984 I usually play it deep and try to regian good court position back up at net.

This is rarely a put away overhead, so it's more importabt to take your time to be able to control the depth of your shot and your balance to be able to get back up to net.

  • I appreciate your videos Brent..taking notes here ;) Thank you!

  • thx for the great instructions. i think i counted 10 steps for AD to get into position to hit that shot. can u do a video on how we can improve our legs to do that?

  • @ribcat You're right @ribcat. This overhead is ALL about footwork. The short compact swing is crucial obviously, but a minor component of the entire footwork pattern.

Rehearse the footwork without a ball. Good rec players will and the results are proven.

  • @Izzyxz You got it!

  • brent r you recording these videos live in brisbane. will you be doing the aussie open

  • @farood5 No. I'm taking these off of the highlight videos from the BrisbaneTennis channel here at YouTube. They's got a bunch of highlight and full match videos uploaded.

    Really great what they're doing.

If the Australian Open posts videos, yes, I'll do the same voiceover videos.
