  • And then, that hobo became the Mayor of the city, just because Batman said his coat is nice.

  • What's the name of the music near the end?

  • the legend begins

  • Dark Knight is way better than this mediocre movie.

  • 0:47 grate takedown

    1:39 inverted takedown

    1:59 corner takedown

    2:36 condition: terrified

    3:21 glass takedown

  • IM BATMAN!!

  • Batman gave him that coat

  • Nice coat. LOL thumps up if you knew what he meant.

  • @missposie96 wt ?

  • DANG, BATMAN, YOU SCARY!

  • Best Line of The Whole Trilogy: "I'm Batman"

  • This is arguably one of the greatest scenes from Nolan's Batman trilogy. The vibe that something dark has crept into the area, the presence of a nightmare, a dark wraith within the shadows. The fear on the faces of the criminals as they're taken out one by one...

  • batman is a kung fu bad ass mother fucker.

  • "What the hell are you?"

He's just something you helped make.

  • WHERE ARE YOU!

    here

    (weird gasp)

    what was that?

    what you scared me

  • the legend returns.

  • @GoGoVengo Nice coat!!

  • To all you people there complaining about how shitty his voice is stop it! of all the adaptations this is suppose to be the most realistic- the reason he has the raspy voice is so no one can recognize him-in DCU and other animation his voice was practically identical- as for the shaky camera fight scene its design to show it from the criminal perspective -fast swift demon-like living nightmare

  • batman's voice has been overly raspy in nolan's films. it doesnt need to be raspy as it just sounds silly. it's meant to be boomy and agressive. It's not as bad in the dark knight but it should sound like he does when voiced like kevin conroy.

  • @SirWillig You are silly,

READ @fbiuzz comment and cry. See the real things.

In the comics Batman himself say that he need to force his voice to a raspy to scary the criminals and sometimes that voice .

Batman need to be a beast, an unreal man, a nigthmare. Read comics, and when i say comics i dont only say Year one, or hush, or TDKR, You need to see the continuities comics since year one, and your knowledge about batman will increase.

    Ignorance make you stupid man.

  • @Rockjael2 okay, odd way of getting your point across but fair enough

  • @Rockjael2 wouldn't be calling anyone stupid if I was you. Sure you have the knowledge of batman but your English isn't so good and its kind of insulting for you to call someone stupid in their own language when you can't even word your point properly to begin with.

  • Does batman ever actually use the batarangs again after this scene?

  • I like how Batman scares the criminals. It's awesome. Like as if he's some paranormal creature !

  • The guy Batman says nice coat too ... Boris the Blade from Snatch

  • 2:35 INVERTED TAKEDOWN

  • "im batman"

    *knocks him out*

awesome music plays and he flys away

THIS IS A FUCKIN BATMAN MOVIE!!!! THIS IS PERFECT!

  • This movie sucked compared to the awesome TDK. You can barely see the action in this scene.

  • @TheAmerican732 well i think it was better because he used scare tactics more he was very sneaky and got in their head. in tdk hes more upfront with them. only bad thing in this movie is when the camera shakes when he is kicking all their asses

  • @anessone and @TheAmerican732, this scene was specifically designed by Nolan, he said he wanted to make Batman appear faster then a normal fighter would be while shrowding him in confusion of the fight. Thats what part of the fear Batman wants to convey, so Nolan made this scene to convey the message

  • @yankee1121 yeah thats why i highly admire nolan for showing the fear of batman in action and you not wanting to do crime when he is around. in the other batman movies he was still an interesting chracter sure but i was like ''this guy doesnt scare me too much'' and when i saw batman begins i was like ''holy shit dude i dont know where this guy is coming from, dont know if hes above or around me thats scarier than a guy with like the hulk

  • @yankee1121 oh my god i see my mistake. i accidentally said the camera was bad in this. woops. well shiiiet man.

  • @TheAmerican732 Yeah but in TDK, the whole fuckin' movie didn't make sense(all that bullshit with the Joker doing whatever the writers said he could even though it was complete BULLSHIT). At least this one made sense and as far as I am concerned remains the only good Batman movie to date...which is why it's my favorite Batman film.

  • @THEDARKNIGHTDX2 could be hooked to hie belt. we never saw his descent.

  • Nobody wins with a headbutt. Except Batman.

  • who else came here because of Cracked?

  • hey, what wrong with falcone's driver? was he drugged or something?

  • @snatchX626 Batman probably knocked him out cold

  • nice coat, wan't to switch again?

  • This was as epic as it needed to be.

  • arkham asylum combat challenge starting at 2:41

  • In another great scene , you gotta love it when he draws the first Batman sign on the cloud by his tied body.

  • Nice Coat love it lol

  • Bale created a nearly flawless rendition of Batman for Batman Begins, but the character remained intact for TDK. This created some issues, since Batman was came off as somewhat more vulnerable due to the Joker one-uping him. Also, TDK has much more dramatic dialogue, which makes the grungy voice seem unnecessary, though it is necessary.

  • the way he says "I'm batman" at 3:24 gives me the chills...every time

I like him more in batman begins than in the dark knight

  • Comment removed

  • If any of you guys have seen Christopher Nolan's other GREAT film Memento, the curly hair guy in the beginning is also the landlord from Memento.

  • @Hyminym that's a fact.

  • i love the reference to the homeless guy he met all those years ago

  • great movie

  • This has got to be the best scene from any Batman movie, especially the part where he grabs Falconi and says "I'm Batman..." basically proving that he's not playing around and avenging his parents' death, awesome

  • This scene was to show the criminals point of veiw on Batman.

  • -WHERE ARE YOU ?

    -Here.

    -Aaaah !

Holy fuck that's epicness if I've ever seen some.

  • "people from your world has so very much to lose"

well pal you got nothing the Batman

  • This scene kinda reminds me of batman arkham asylum

  • I just love the wtf look on Rade Šerbedžija's face in 3:32

  • At 1:37 I was like "WTF?!" before he drops, and I realized that this is how Batman should be from a criminal's point of view.

  • This scene took this film from being "just another Batman movie" to absolute epicness.

Probably my favourite scene from either of the Nolan Batman films.

  • notice in the fight scene there's a guy standing on the left side right next to batman, and in the next frame everyone is out cold

  • I won't lie, 0:47 scared the crap out of me when I first saw this.

  • This is Batman to the hair!!! Playing on man's fear of the unknown. This's exactly why people tend be afraid of the dark when they are young. Oh yeah it does appear that 2 people hit the wrong button.

  • WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!

    -here.

  • Guys, if anyone ever ask you ''batman? what's that?'', let him know of this scene, please......

  • 3:24, Obvious tribute to the Tim Burton movie.

  • 2:33 - It never works for me when I say it...

  • If this was superman he would've floated down in a hail of bugles and lights. And there's nothing terrifying about bugles

  • I would loved to see this movie with Frank Miller ! I bet it made him grin !!

  • the facial expression of the homeless dude always makes me laugh hes just o: hahaha

  • nolan shot this scene in such a way that it looked like batman was some kind of serial killer methodically taking out is prey one by one! i mean i felt just as scared as the criminals lol!!! nolan's a great director!!!!!!!

  • Stice?

  • Way back in '89, Batman's big debut scene was this: Bats shows up on roof to confront two muggers, gets shot in the chest and falls down. That was Tim Burton's way of introducing the world to a movie Batman. I knew right then Burton's movie was going to suck and I was right. Nolan got his Batman debut exactly right. THIS is a Batman who would scare the piss out of you. A monster. Jason and Dracula all in one.

  • @tdelamont Try watching Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm. Batman also fights his first fight with mobsters like this scene and it is just as good (different style and story though and he didn't have his suit yet).

  • 2:02 "There's a problem out here you'd better bail."

    More like get bale'd

  • @Nerevar1990 i see what you did there

  • 2 people must have pressed the wrong button

  • Falcone's son will be Arthur from Inception in DKR.

  • thats how batman should fucking fight

  • Who the hell are you?

    I'm Batman.

  • The guy at 1:43 is The Joker.

  • @mavman1994

    no

  • Hahahahaha

    *Looks at hobo*

    "Nice coat"

  • @movie5647 it's sarcasm dickhead

  • That's not Batman! It's Big Daddy from Kick-Ass

  • I hope Christian Bale uses this Batman voice over the Dark Knight one in the next Batman film. He went a little over the top with the Batman voice in The Dark Knight.

  • @AiR1890 It was altered digitally in TDK

  • @AiR1890 it wasn't his idea. christian bale was using his normal voice during the shooting of the dark knight. chris nolan just tweaked the voice post production. or so i've heard from film critics.

  • what the hell are youuuuuu.......Im Batman!!!!!!!!

  • Second only to The Dark Knight as the greatest superhero film ever made.

  • Trying to find the scene when he thretens the commissioner with the staple

  • Been looking for that "where are you!?" scene for quite a while now!

  • very much like Arkham Asylum predator then fight

  • flass is really annoying

  • -Where are You!!!

    -here!

    -AAAHH!!

  • @aboAbdulable i agree with you man better than dark knight :)!!!

  • As for me the suit in begins is better than the dark knight

  • Nice coat.

  • DAMN, Like the way the man gets sucked into the Dark @ 0:46

  • WHERE ARE YOU??!!

    Here.

    *screams*

    WIN

  • @PantherMistress88 : To me, that is what Batman in movies is supposed to be!

  • what in the name of freaking Jesus christ are you????

    IM BATMAN!!!!!

  • that was awesome just awesome

  • nice coat!

  • To Be clear I liked batman begins and dark knight best batman films up to date screw the batman robin film that piece of shit can stay in the gutter fuck you joel

  • @robo003d amen to that. joel's movies sucked

  • this movie and the dark knight are batman gold no one has captured what batman really is supposed to be like...and shadow, or a myth that is to be feared by criminals the other movies before this didnt get that at all they just made him seem like a normal dude in a suit and none of the batman casted before bale were eney good even though his voice in the dark knight was a little bit much.

  • The Rock is much better than Batman Begins is

  • nice coat lol! the fight scenes r messy

  • Comment removed

  • WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!!!??

    ..here

    AHH!

  • bale is awesome "IM BATMAN" grumpy voice cool!!!!!!!!!!!:)!!!! great voice

  • Nice coat

  • @movie5647 i think that was intentional, to make batman seem more scary ya know? like, u can't see him hit you, but he did, and by the time u realise, u r out. it makes him seem less human and more, like some beast or animal.

  • "What the hell are you?" (sunroof window crashes, he's being pulled though it by...something...) "I'M BATMAN!" ...holy sh--! :-0

  • Batman isnt a super hero, hes a fucking legend

  • 2:37

    best line ever

  • What music do they use for this?

  • the very first time i saw this movie, my one complaint was that the fight sequences were hard to follow and see clearly. it took me a while to realize how much more effective that is when it comes to the storytelling. it makes US feel like we're piecing it together along with the people of gotham, and that we're not quite sure what to make of a bat character, so in our consciousness, he is more legend than man. and so in tdk, i was a bit let down when you could see batman too clearly.

  • i love how the director made it seem like a horror movie, except its the good guy fucking shit up and the bad guys pissing their pants.

  • WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!?!

    "here"

    waaahhhhh!

    owned XD

  • I remember sitting in the movies watching this on the verge of tears. Nolan understood Batman was a hunter and the henchmen were prey. It is something Burton or Schumacher didn't get or do. When he says "I am Batman"...my heart was racing and I thanked God someone actually understood how to do the character justice

  • Fuck TDK

    Begins ftw

  • haha Rade is the best homeless guy EVAH!

  • absolutely epic

  • so if the homeless guy can remember who gave him that coat, he is the sole person that knows who batman is.

  • I doubt the homeless guy thought the man that gave him that coat 7 years prior was the same guy dressed as a giant bat.

  • damn near a horror movie lol

  • It doesn`t get much more badass than this

  • @someguycalledray That was one of my favorite parts in Batman Begins.

  • I just noticed, at 3:02 a gang member is standing up, but at the next cut (3:03) he is laying down...am I wrong or does batman have magical powers which can make people disappear?

  • Yes. Yes he does.

  • WHERE ARE YOU? - here, hehe

  • "nice coat"

  • thanks...

  • Personally, I thought the Batsuit in this movie (Batman Begins) was better than the Batsuit used later on in the Dark Knight. The head/mask of the Batsuit in the Dark Knight was too round as if it was moulded to Bale's head. The Batsuit in this movie was modernised but not over-the-top, so it kept the tradition of the shape of the Batsuit.

And yeah I loved both films; Batman Begins & The Dark Knight but I've gotta admit; Bale's voice in The Dark Knight was a bit over-exaggerated.

  • The rounded cowl was made to let him turn his head. This was a problem with the original Begins Batsuit, bale couldn't look around without moving his entire body (which was not noticable up until it was pointed out). The suit from TDK was segmented so that it looked armored and utilitarian, a trait that allowed it to be shown in much brighter light. And it was even said in the movie, the change in the suit was a tradeoff, better utility vs better protection.

  • This was better than TDK.

  • i can't decide which scene in this movie is my favorite

  • 2:41 freeflow combat lolz

Think of this scene everytime doing a predator challenge

  • I think Falcone crapped himself. I would've.

  • I think about 3 times. 4 tops.

  • His name is Gerald.

  • I was watching the old series, man it's corny lol. I like the newer stuff better. It's all about fear and pain, so that civilians can be safe... like it should be. Peace Out.

  • The animated series from the 90's was pretty darn good!

  • @raddreamstar I grew up on that show I remember when I was 3 or 4 that would be the only thing I watched I remember the cartoon was pretty dark considering it was made for seven year old kids

  • @OrangeSwag Yeah... I do generally prefer Batman as a dark character - granted, there's a lot of ways you can write for him and still have him be an effective and inspiring hero. "Brave and the Bold" seems to be directly based on the far less brooding '60s Batman, but I was surprisingly impressed with it.

  • @heavyarms01h rddsrhjann hhyujnm,,ll;pp000---=hjghjgj ttyuujhn,,mmhythhntyuttyhggffder ddeaaadahhhrrty

  • @raddreamstar ummm random?

  • He didnt fly you imbecil !

  • where the fu*^ are you?!

    here

    awsome movie

  • 1 of the best batman scenes of all time!

  • agree :-)

  • Good sound effects on the machine gun. This in my opinion is the best part in the movie.

  • batman cant fly so i dunno why they make him fly in this scene its ruins it for me but other than that its a awesoem film

  • I dont think hes flying. I think thats just what its suppose to look like for the homeless guy...

  • In the movie Morgan Freeman(Lucas Fox) shows him the armor including a grapple gun that is used for scaling/climbing buildings. The same concept that Batman used in the 1989 film. Same purpose, to give the illusion that he can fly. Remember there is a philosophy behind why Bruce Wayne does this. If you're gonna take the mask of a bat then you gotta give the illusion that you can fly too.

  • "nice coat" ROFL

he gave him that coat before he was batman didnt he?? hah

  • His Batman voice was perfect in this one...
