Andrewpeeonyou have you ever heard the saying don't piss on your own chips well thats what your doing your a very long way off before you get anywhere near this mans standard grow up
Master Chau I have a question about the sanda punch compared to a boxing punch. A friend of mine is a boxer sand he said when you punch the elbow must be tucked in on the ribs at all time. The way I was taught to throw a punch in sanda and kung fu was just to twist the waist for power. We didn't really have to tuck the elbow by the ribs at all time when executing the punch. It was ok to bring your elbow up. Is there really much difference of power when comparing a boxing punch to a sanda punch.
@SoundwaveSuperior373 It depends on each fighter style. Usually when the elbows tucked in on the ribs is more in a defensive and counter punching and trying to close the distance to your opponent in oder to throw hooks and uppercut. However, when involving kicking, throws, you have to be more creative. Boxers like Sugar ray lenoard, Roy jones and many others, they don't tucked their elbows...
@SoundwaveSuperior373 and only do so when defending on the rope. In sanda, when throwing punches, not only twist the waist, but must turn your shoulder especially you are throwing your rear hand power punch. Your friend is not wrong by suggesting tucking elbows...It is more effective to practise with and without elbows tuck... In short, it really depend the style of each fighter.
An awesome display of techniques Master Chau! The dummie looks better to work out on than a heavy bag. Your delivery of your weapons top form as always! Thank you for posting hope to see more Master Chau!
