  • did the two guys on the ground floor at the end of the scene get killed or just knocked out? it doesnt look like anything landed on them to kill them? so could someone tell me please?

  • This thriller resembles reality a lot, with large corrupt corporations trying to control wars. The shoot out included was very realistic: No shakey camera movements, no large explosions or catch phrases.

  • This shoutout scene is a plus... Thrilling film :)

  • some people actually have to listen to what they are saying rather than just watching explosions

  • I came here after watching Clive Owen's Shoot-Em-Up scenes expecting some really fast action! It wasn't as fast but it was really intense and I held my breath at a lot of moments, I found I really enjoyed this and it's a lot more realistic and scary. Thanks for the upload!

  • DON'T YOU FXXING DEAD! (EPIC !)

  • Why is there chunks in his blood?

  • Pretty bad ass action scene

  • fuck frank lloyd wright fucking kill him fucking fuckguin faufs;iajd vk;qer

  • by frank lloyd fuck you ofuck ayto;qewhfcxv

  • This is quite different from the dance scene in Mr poppers penguins.

  • I love how this scene is filmed. :)

  • They do not allow us to shoot (photos) in guggenheim, but they are allowed to shoot whatever they like... That is not fair.. :)))

  • @oneryalcin they actually built an entire replica in germany for this scene :P

  • I've never seen this movie but I love the way the guns sound. I shoot at an in-door range, and it sounds pretty damn close to the real thing here. You know, without it being so loud your ears fly off.lol

  • Those are some good walls!

  • The movie sucked in one way. The Inspector or whatever (Clive Owen) had no idea how a bank or similliar worked.... in general the Movie was good but the story itself had many holes.

  • i love the mp9

  • Has it become unfashionable to reload?

  • Cheesy

  • Wow! A surprisingly intelligent movie also had one of the greatest sootout sequences of all time!

    Plus... 5:10.

  • I've never seen this movie, but great fucking shootout scene.

  • For all those who thought this movie was boring real evil perpetrated by these profit hungry corporations is a bunch of drab men giving killing power to idiots as depicted in this film.

This is a true film almost a documentary hypothezing what would happen if someone took these guys on.

  • A fantastic scene in an otherwise snooze-worthy film.

  • LOL the ringtone part!

  • This movie had a very sinister premise about power and money.

  • okay okay hold the hole in his neck... no what fuck him runs away... IM STILL ALIVE HELP ME!

  • wasn't Men in Black shout in that building?

  • For future reference, the SMGs were Brugger & Thomet TP9s converted to full auto.

  • Wow. A revolver with a thirteen round cylinder?

  • This film has such impact. I was quite impressed with the quality of details.

  • This movie wasnt the best but this is a great shootout scene. It made the movie for me. Very realistic, even the extras freaking out is realistic. Im glad there were no explosions lol.

  • The hitman was like terminator, could not kill the guy.

  • why would you take your vest off? dumbass!

  • @dangerjim67 because it was the reason he couldn't breathe. Armored vests still hurt like a s.o.b. too when your hit, plus heavy. I thought it made sense but in the end it was his downfall. :P

  • @stardestroyer11 Maybe not though. I think he got hit by an MP7, if so his vest would've been shredded by the super high velocity 4.6x30mm ammo it uses. So he may have been screwed either way.

  • @VicVinegar I would agree with you except that those aren't MP7s. They're using Steyr TMPs in 9x19mm, and the vest definitely stopped the shots. But most standard kevlar vests aren't rated to stop multiple impacts, and he had been hit many times in the chest. It would've been unable to prevent much more damage from occuring after all that.

  • @Sol417 Um... most kevlar vests will take hits in stride. Ceramic plates, however only take two or three hits.

  • @Sol417 Yeah I was definitely off on the mp7, in my defense it has that same kind of boxy look, and you don't get a great view of it. But it is a Brügger & Thomet MP-9 variant or version of the TMP, according to imfdb. Another thing to consider is that even if the bullets were prevented from penetrating the vest (although I agree with multiple impacts would be unlikely) you've got to figure his ribcage with take a huge amount of punishment.

  • @dangerjim67 He said that he couldn't breathe with it on. If you can't breathe, it's pretty distracting. If you're more distracted than you need to be in a gunfight, the chances of you dying would increase a considerable amount.

  • This was actually a fairly realistic fire fight scene compared to other movies like the expendables...

  • @chrysanthos66 you are dumb as hell, those are not uzis

  • Anyone else think the hitman looked like Ulrich Mune?

  • @rjbonacolta his name is ulrich mühe

  • Comment removed

  • 4:13 rofl

  • I find it kind of funny that he fired about 11 shots from that revolver before it ran dry.

  • @Canid117 Yeah, and like 270 from the Steyr.

  • 1:20 MR.ORANGE IS BACK!!!

  • This movie was awesome. It's not for the general population to understand since they are bunch of buffoons. The movie is for those who are aware of the power of banks and how they control and benefit conflicts.

If you didn't like the movie, than you don't really live in reality but your own little bubble.

  • @SparkDaIzm Just because you like a movie others didn't doesn't make them a buffoon. Maybe bank movies just bore them; it's not about not knowing about the power of banks, because that's demonstrated in the movie, it's about not caring about it. Maybe you're the buffoon for liking such a boring movie.

  • @SparkDaIzm I agree, when I watched this movie I couldn't believe how close to reality it really was. Banks making arms deals and funding wars all over the globe. This is what financial institutions do and the reason why we will see the financial and economic destruction of America soon. People are gullible buffoons. Its all bread and circus for them. No wonder people found the movie boring. The average American has an attention span of 3 seconds...

  • @SparkDaIzm me agrees.

  • @SparkDaIzm liking or not liking the movie has nothing at all to do with anyone's presence in reality.

  • where are the police???

  • @max282 The police are too busy writing tickets and acting tough while abusing their power. Gotta generate that revenue for the city

  • I did not think this movie was boring. it was quite good. not every movie needs to be action sequence after action sequence.

  • @Thiora Agree

  • Comment removed

  • @Thiora - exactly.

  • @Thiora edge of darkness is badass

  • @Thiora i agree, the story lead up to a pretty good shootout though. the only thing is that they never seem to reload :<

    that really bothers me

  • @AtomicAtari Dude, they reloaded like eight times all together. Almost every time he went to a body with a machine pistol, he took either the gun or the clip from that gun. And the Assassin guy had about two or three clips on him that he used also. Word.

  • Is that Michael J. Fox at 1:59?

  • @Fudgelicious22

    uuuuhhhhm no.

  • THat's the scene everyone remembers in this movie?

God, people are so brainless, it's really scary.

Ok, the movie is quite boring, but the only scene that was worthy of seeing was the one where the banker explained the truth about conflicts around the world. It's all about investment.

  • @KarasuNoGoh You don't watch a movie to have 'the truth about conflicts around the world' explained. You can get that shit from a book or magazine or something. When you watch a movie you wanna be entertained. Clive Owen pwning bitches is entertaining, therefore, this is the best scene in the movie.

  • @KarasuNoGoh Why shouldn't this be the scene that people remember? The entire movie is boring and the plot is convoluted. The part where the hitman shoots the first two guys actually woke me up and gave me a false sense of hope that the rest of the movie would be somewhat enjoyable.

  • This film was terrible !!!

  • dude who gets shot @ 3:40 yeah asshole, why not just hide behind a cardboard box

  • @bjovi12 very true, but aside from this scene, this entire movies was still boring

  • @bjovi12 Well maybe not. If Clive stayed behind that pillar and didn't move forward. He woudn't have been seen by the guards or startled the bats.

  • at 3:54, it reminds me of gta 4, lol how they hide behind the walls

  • This is probably one of the most amazing and intense shoot out scenes on the same level as the epic soot out in Heat. I was at the edge of my seat the whole 7 minutes and when I saw it the first time it felt like an eternity.

  • best scene in the hole movie

  • My favorite part was at the end of the fight scene where the mirrors fell on the two guys

  • Why in hell would he want to take OFF body armor in a situation like that? It's not like it became COMPLETELY worthless after a few hits, is it?

  • Comment removed

  • @IWannabeJew

The hitman took off the vest because after getting hit about 3 times it probably 1: knocked the wind out of him and 2: broke some ribs and 3: the normal trauma of being shot 3 times in the chest which to mean provides a realistic reaction.

  • @xreddeadx The bullets were still flying!

  • @IWannabeJew actually bullet resistant armor does lose its ability to catch bullets after so many hits since the layers in the vest are weakened once they've been penetrated enough

He probably took it off to breathe easier after being hit

  • @DoomSprite236 You're telling me that the whole panel of the layer is weakened, or just the area around the hit?

  • @IWannabeJew Bulletproof armor is made out of extremely strong woven fibers that absorb the kinetic energy of the bullet. When a layer gets damaged enough, it loses its ability to stop bullets... There are so many layers in a vest, so yeah, basically the whole thing stops working if you get hit more then a few times

  • @DoomSprite236 Why don't they make the panels smaller and overlap them?

  • @IWannabeJew Because that would be expensive.

  • @DoomSprite236 More expensive than death because you took the thing OFF?

  • @IWannabeJew He was using a vest that was meant to stop pistol/shotgun rounds. If you want better protection you have to use hard body armor, which actually uses metal/ceramic plates coupled with the fibers, although this kind of armor is very heavy and bulky and the only people that use them are tactical police teams and the military.

I think these guys would look a bit silly wearing heavy armor.

  • @DoomSprite236 We weren't talking about calibre, and I'm not sure why you ever bring it up, because the weapons used in this scene all appear to be firing pistol ammunition.

You said it was expensive to make a vest that could take more than a few hits and my response was to ask whether it was more expensive than DEATH.

Our discussion was about the number of hits, not about the calibre.

  • @IWannabeJew With bulletproof vests, if you get hit, you take it off. Simple as that. It's easier to breathe, and you aren't wearing a vest that might not protect you from another bullet. I don't think overlapping the layers would do anything other than make the vests more complicated to produce.

  • @DoomSprite236 Point being, if you get hit, your concern is still to live long enough to take it off at your leisure... Soft body armor is not compromised by hits like ceramic plates are. You'll get bruised up, but it won't suddenly stop working unless the vest itself has gotten some serious structural damage.

  • @John234pwns So you're saying that soft body armor can't be damaged by standard bullets? What does it take to seriously damage a soft armor vest to the point of it being unusable?

  • @DoomSprite236 It's best to think of soft body armor as a set of brakes. They work by cutting the penetrative power of anything within a reasonable threshold until they wear out. That said a vest with holes in it is generally replaced just because it's messy with all this fabric sticking out.

Big, slow moving bullets like Magnum handgun rounds and shotgun slugs, though they will not damage the vest severely, will bruise you and hit you hard enough to break bones and potential kill you.

  • @DoomSprite236 Whereas, a soft vest just is physically incapable of stopping rifle bullets, which will poke straight through it. That's why you use ceramic plates, whcih are destroyed after several hits because they're fragmented by bullets.

There are also "trauma plates," which cannot stop bullets but are placed inside a best to absorb all that concussive force, and "stab plates," which are designed like chain mail internally to stop knife stabs, as well as vests out of the same material.

  • @John234pwns well, I was just guessing when I was explaining stuff back there, but if all the things you say are correct then what I really want to know why the hitman in the video above took off his vest...

  • @DoomSprite236 Well, he'd be bruised up so such a tight fitting garment would obstruct breathing.... but, preferable to getting shot. It's just a plot device so he can get killed at the end without dying instantly.

  • Not really. I have some Level 3 body armor. It only weighs 6 lbs for both front and back protection. It will stop 5.56mm 62gr steel core ammo, or AK47 and 308 ammo. Multi hit rated. You might have some cracked or broken ribs though from the 308.

  • @labartic I'm pretty sure if you get hit from the kinetic energy from any kind of bullet you might want to take it off to breathe... just my opinion though

  • If you are wearing a hard plate, it absorbs the energy of the hit over the plate (somewhat) and pistols dont pack that much energy compared to rifles.

    9mm - 330 ft/lbs energy

    5.56mm nato - 1000 ft/lbs

    7.62x39 soviet - 2000 ft/lbs

    7.62 nato - 2500-3000 ft/lbs

So you could take hits from pistol calibers wearing your plate and still fight. Many cops have been shot wearing soft body armor and can still fight. Take a 7.62 nato though and you may have some broken ribs or your heart could stop

  • @IWannabeJew They already do, but only for the side panels, since they're thin to begin with.

  • @TheJester190 Don't forget that he runs out of ammo and has to scavenge for more.

  • lmaooo that guy the "pro" corner poped the bad guy XDDD distraction wheel chair XD epic!!!

  • That was...exceptionally awesome. Heavy damage, bloody violence, decent camera angles. A bit unrealistic here and there (six-shooter fires 13 times and Clive was out of cover for a little too long after pushing the guy off the ledge) But all in all, this was a fantastically done shootout. Too bad I'm not getting into filmmaking anymore. This would have been great to direct. Oh well, nothing beats being in the real thing. Army Strong....

  • @VicePower Can you imagine all of the little flags they're going to have to plant for all of those bullet holes?

  • that was dope and funny at some parts that lady random yell lol

  • Stephen Hawking was there...and crawled out without his wheel chair.

  • And dont forget unlimited smg ammo >>

  • Best bleeding neck wound ever.

  • @songoftheopenroad There's a really good one in Band of Brothers when a kid gets hit by an MG42 in the snow.

  • Clive Owen's desperation face is the best.

  • that scene with the weelchair was just awesome!

  • 4:40 so fitting for a wilhelm scream

  • Only if this was in HD.

  • very nice scene.the blood isn't too "crazy",the effects are great without some crappy heroic music jamming in the back ground;an overall good shootout and great movie.

  • This scene was so well executed it's a shame the rest was as dull as it was... But this scene was worth watching in theaters!

  • Along with the shootout in Heat (Best Shootout Ever) and a couple of others (Saving Private Ryan D-Day landing), this is in the Top Ten I'd say. Very impressive.

  • @TheJester190 saving private ryan landing scene

  • NICE

  • This movie wasn't that bad, it was just boring. Except this scene.

  • Great action sequence in an otherwise lifeless movie.

  • great movie about injustice that rules, ruled and will always rule the world.

the movie is not boring. it is disappointing, because watching it u understand that interpol agent can not stop a the gun runners and the bank network doing their dirty deeds. watching this movie i understand why the west and europe (call themselves the chosen by the god) develope and prosper when the third world countries die in poverty.

  • 2:14 best staged single shot in an action sequence in 10 years

  • wow sorry but this looks bad

    tykwer just failed

  • this shouldn't have flopped

  • awesome shootout don't see them steyrs much in movies they look to be steyr spp's rather than the newer tp-9's

  • actualy there mp7's i think

  • its a tp9

  • Why would he take off his vest in a shootout? What a dumbass.

  • because it was fucked up so he can't breave like he said u dumbass

  • Yeah, he couldn't breathe, but why didn't he take cover somehwere for a minute? Sure, the armor took a few rounds and when he got shot again, it was near his stomach (armor has less protection near the stomach). But still, the armor would've taken more rounds and he'd live.

  • I think it was of a plot issue. Kill the assassin and have Clive work his way up the food chain. Armen Mueller-Stahl even said to the assassin he wanted a grand finale death. He got his wish and Clive didn't stop the IBBC, but he at least was able to get the Chairman killed. SORRY FOR THE SPOILERS:)

  • you don't know anything about b vests do you

  • i guess you could say these guy were running in circles? or even better shooting in circles? lol

  • @Ral15rok I can tell just by your comment that your IQ level is below a third graders.

  • @ModernDayReview88

I'd have to agree. Rel15rok, you seem pretty fucking retarded.

  • What the fucks my coment have to do with my IQ level?

  • @Ral15rok Your comment is a product of your IQ level, dumb-ass.

  • @Ral15rok Little amusements for little minds.

  • A very well made gunfight.

  • R5 image but with Cam audio, which is why you can hear ppl laughing from the theater. Otherwise, still a great scene.

  • Shit movie, decent shootout.

  • Crappy movie, pretty good gunfight.

  • the only good part of the movie

  • a pretty bland and crappy movie, this scene was the only bit that was actually entertaining, everything around it was garbage

  • Worst hitmen ever, herp derp lets spray and pray in this art museum- we're total professionals.

  • The guy falling is kinda cheesy with the obvious effects, but also cool in a way. Movie usually cut away before a body hits the ground... this is pretty bad ass.

  • Saving Private Ryan, The D-Day landing was quite realistic

  • Despite the continuity error where that revolver seems to carry 10 rounds, this is one of the best shootouts I've seen in any movie...

  • yeah and none of the guns had any recoil.

  • oh man u never shot those guns did u?

the 9 mm glock recoil is extremly low

and with those steyer(i think those r steyers)mps it is the same

  • The gun the close cropped assassin dude uses is a Glock 17 and it doesn't have that much recoil.

The guns being used by Owens and the henchmen are Brügger & Thomet TP-9s converted to automatic fire chambered with 9mm rounds. Very little recoil, even with automatic fire.

The only gun that should have any really strong recoil is the S&W Model 66 snub nose reolver which the detective carries is Owens takes.

  • considering these guys are prof assasins I would of thought they would of used a better weapon... I mean you have better sub machine guns on the market then a TMP dont you? These guys arnt gang bangers so they could of used a

P90 or a UMP? Or am I looking to deeply into this?

  • @jamesthq they're not professional assassins they're just thugs,guns for hire

  • @PushrodFantasies The revolver having too much ammo is not what you call a continuity error. It's unrealistic yes, but has nothing to do with continuity.

  • @Pushrod Fantasies

Honestly, Owens only fires the revolver like... 6 - 8 times. It's holds 6 rounds altogether, so it seemed pretty realistic to me. The only issue I have is that the mercenaries all are only using thirty-round magazines and even though their magazines were already partly empty when Owens and the assassin took the guns and magazines, he's still able to fire off a good forty - fifty rounds with each one.

  • can you actually press your thumb down hard enough and make a hole in a dude body?

  • he was pressing a bullet wound.

  • ooooo

  • it was a bullet wound, he was just carving it

  • He was pressing down on a bullet wound o o;;

  • @kaz0lace thats a bullet hole

he did not make that hole with his thumb

    LOL

  • @MrCrowley9000 I KNOW I KNOW ALREADY you guys answered that like 10 times. >:l

  • erm blood diomend is a good one leon the proffesional and another one with the same caracter leed as this film children of men. hope you enjoy these lol

  • Leon is not realistic, what with the 1 guy swinging from the ceiling with twin guns vs. swat team thing.

  • actully it is possible to. look how he confuse the swat team and panic them its not like he flew through the air shooting. n he gets shot while hanging anyway

  • The bank heist in Heat, by and by far. Leaves you shellshocked at the end.

  • wow..................................

  • good shootout and is that jerry from rescue me

  • this scene was great but the ending kinda sucked. id give this movie a B+

  • Without this scene, I would've given the movie an A instead of an A+.

    Very good movie.

  • The movie wasn't that good, but this scene, and the opening scene, were fantastic. These scenes were fast, brutal, and well-edited. But the rest of the film failed to capture my attention.

  • I have to agree. Thinking back, those were the only two parts of the movie I really remember.

  • peaple say this is the only good scene in the whole movie
