@Redspikez Yes, I play the game on Windows 7. The website for the game is a universal website for all platforms. I have played many people from the UK - good gamers mind you. I like the controls... it's just like any other PC FPS. I think the game is an 8/10.

Too bad you were wrong about how the dedicated servers didn't screw the multiplayer, because now hackers, glitchers and annoying twats are ruining some matches and theres nothing you can do about it.

There were also alot of connection problems, especially from my foreign friends.

- i dont play from the US. and so the player base isn't as big, thus there isn't as many games to choose from - within that, i have to play multiplayer at certain times, or there just isn't enough players online to make a game up - iWNet to me, drags out the multiplayer aspect of this game, with constant interuptions. - you do mention alot of good things about the gameplay, which i agree with, gfx and all, but again, without dependable dedicated server(s), it just falls too short

just bought the game today and forget what's bad being said cos it really is SIICCK!! the best things about it are the graphics, which are seriously amazing. the guns look incredible. next are the maps, so detailed and vast. lastly the weapons and customisabiliity is just unreal, its a beautifully made game.

Not really, to be serious this game is decent but is missing several elements that made cod4 so great. The matchmaker is broken. I usaully get 100-150 ping in this game which isnt that bad but really isnt that good. It usaully tends to lag and the teams are never balanced which is ironic cause IW put the matchmaker in to balance the teams. Overall this game needs alot of work in MP, Sp its good but Mp needs alot of work. 7/10 thats me being generous i would of gone 6 but its ok.

I actually have this BSOD on launch, I disabled in game community on steam, restarted my PC got it working once, it froze after 3 hours of game play and BAM back to BSOD. I did play multiplayer as well, and I hate the match making system.

I think the lag issue with p2p matchmaking will only get more rare with time as broadband connections around the world get faster. So it's not such a bad thing if all games go p2p matchmaking.

From a community standpoint I think it is a bad thing; in the future, p2p will be fine since it's mostly, as you said, the connection speed and CPU, but I've never been a fan of matchmaking. I like to have a server or 2 to call home.

The singleplayer campaign is spectacular.The ending is one of the best I have seen in a shooter. Multiplayer is extremely deep. It alone is worth the 60$ price tag. I play on PS3. I would like to play on PC, but IDK if I can run it smoothly. My laptop seems to have problems with games and HD videos, even though I have a pretty decent Graphics card.

The only thing I dont like are the weapon sounds, and the way the maps play. But you get used to both things.

Mindlessly going out and supporting games with no dedis ensures future releases will do away with them too, but if we as pc gamers show some spine and not take their crap then no, we don't have to get used to it. The singleplayer seemed like a bad Jason Bourne movie. And the multiplayer is bogged down by some of the most idiotic maps I've ever seen.

It's a decent game, and a semi-decent followup. But compared to the hoopla about the first one.. It's a bunch of bullshit.
