I hate harmonics on a fretted bass but it's a completely different story on a fretless. :)

Natural harmonics sound exactly the same on a fretless bass.

In that case, yes they have completely different harmonic properties. I like it a lot though. Those would be called artificial harmonics in case anyone was wondering.

It's just that it's easier to slide a hamonic on a fretless.Sliding a harmonic on a fretted tends to breakup becaus of the frets.
