  • being a janitor in the navy not all that bad, i was a BM so i also had to paint!!! and navy life isnt all that bad, ive been to alot of places that my friends wished they went to. also i went swimming in the med sea and the red sea (ship was an amphib so we dropped the well deck door and had a swim call in the water lol). and now the navy is paying for my college. so yea, im proud to be a janitor!!!

  • You know how they say every Marine is a rifleman... well in the Navy there's a similar saying -

    Every sailor is a janitor.

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • WTF ramirez save burger down

  • Whatever. All you fucks are diggits for even posting about this crap. Yeah, our job sucks. Big deal.

  • hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love it! i'm on hold for FC a school here in illinois, and that is exactly what we do for hours.

  • ah the truth in advertising

  • LOL LOOKS like BEQ 132 at NHCS

  • It's all about having enough pride and basic life skills to take care of yourself and belongings. And why should the Navy pay for janitors when sailors should be clean kept anyway? If you can't clean a toilet then what makes you qualified to handle weapons? Humble yourself pigs, life isn't that hard!

  • maybe if you were in the navy then you would know

  • this commercial is soooo true, navy makes up janitors

  • shut the fuck up the navy and the airforce are the best and has the best technology so how do they make u janitors chill with that

  • Easy. Cleaning is a large part of navy life, especially for non-rates. It's also an essential part. The alternative to proper housekeeping is engine room fires and massive corrosion. It's not glamorous, but it keeps the navy fighting.

  • omg shut up this is a dumb comercial im in the navy and i still think its dumb and all branches have to clean alot

  • So you prefer to live and work in a mess.

I'll tell you what. Let's stow the division's garbage in the rack above yours, and we'll see how long you're opposed to cleaning.

  • omg shut the fuck up did u hear what i said i didnt say i didnt like cleaning i said all branches have to clean an d its a dumb cummercial dont say nothin back cause ur a cavilian anyway so stay in ya lane

  • 1) Is "omg shut the fuck up" the only thing your mommy taught you?

    2) If you didn't have a problem with cleaning, why did you whine at the idea of being made a janitor. If you're in the navy than you know that being a janitor is just part of the job description until you make chief.

    3) MM1(SW). I think I might know what I'm talking about.

  • because why the fuck would i want to be a janitor how old are u shut up and stop talkin shit over the computer i like cleanin but the fuckin commercial it ppl fuckin mopin floors and cleanin toilets how it that fuck attractive shut up im not tlakin to u anymore ur a waste of time cavilian

  • Well, you've checked just about all of the "internet kook" boxes. Just tell us how you're a Navy SEAL, and threaten to come kick my ass, and you'll have a perfect kook score.

Come on, I know you can do it!

  • first of all i didnt say i was ogin kick ur ass i said shut the fuck up and stop tlakin shit on the computer are u fuckin gay i think u are cause u just keep talkin to me sorry i have a girlfriend i think u need a life stop bein on the computer jackin off i gotta go to spain so peace dont beat off too much

  • Aww, and here I thought you had decided not to talk to me anymore.

Let's see... gay, girlfriend, beating off, and an utter inability to read the post you're responding to (even though I make sure to write them in something resembling the English language). Yep, the kook points keep racking up.

  • Damn, you're murdering this guy haha

  • chill its not even a real commercial lol

  • why are u commentin on somethin i put up 4 months ago

  • because it was a stupid comment then and it is now

  • if u read who i was talkin to u would know why i was sayin that stuff so when u read it the dumb one will be u

  • haha wtf!! im doing sweepers as we speak!!!! that looks like a BEQ in Great Lakes!

  • first of all im 13 and second of all im the smartest guy in the school

  • kid ur a tool and ur 13 u got a lot of growing up to do hopefully ur attitude will change before u get in if u even make it in

  • my attitude is perfect

i just get pissed when somebody mocks something i love

  • Nothing is perfect.

  • if u r trying to mock the damn navy fuck u

  • i am in the navy and thats wat we do we are professional janitors

  • not if ur not retarded and not be a recrute and join the naval acadamy and become an officer...

im doin that in 5 years

  • see how many of ur men follow u talking like that about enlisted, but yeah ur not even in u cant even talk good luck with that attitude

  • you need more enlisted before you can have more officers my friend.

  • I'm in power school at NNPTC and we still do PLENTY of cleaning. It's not about being smart or stupid, it's just what you do in the Navy as an enlisted member. Why pay to hire janitors when enlisted members can do it?

  • Ehh, that was meant to be a reply to an earlier post. Anyway, this video is awesome XD.

  • Believe me, Officer life is not as glamorous as you think. Sure, you'd get paid more and you have your own club, but then you have more responsibility. Lets say you're a captain of a ship: YOU are responsible for every life on that boat. YOU are responsible for the safety of sons and daughters. YOU are the one who has to make the tough decisions even if it means putting those sons and daughters on the line. If you have what it takes, then by all means, go for it.

  • Sounds like a good time to apply for SEALs, SWCC, or EOD or something.

  • hoorah

  • the thing that gets me is that these guys have been in the navy for like 5 minutes and they think life is hard now. i ain't gonna lie, i've been in for 5 years and i had my share of shit scrubbin

  • It builds character and im not mocking anyone.

  • you should of done it on a ship lol but u hit the jack point 4 years of my life down that toilet ftm lmao

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • wait wait wait if you get in for a special program like the seals or something can they still force you to scrub and clean?

  • Hell yeah. U start scrubbin and cleanin' as soon as you get to bootcamp. There ain't no way around it. Don't matter what special little program you're in.

  • no dumbass

  • uhh youre an idiot. the marines birthday Nov 10 1775, the navy's is Oct 13 1775. do some research.

  • Yeah the comment was rather stupid it made me laugh a bit

  • army was first then the navy then national guard, and then the marines and then came the air force

  • actually back in the revolution the Continental Forces didnt have a navy.

They only had 2 ships to start with.

then they started building some and began to use marines to board british ships.

  • without a navy to land them they wouldnt be called marines

MARINE=My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment

  • dude, i was in the Marine Corps for four years and that was funny as hell! i've never heard that one before. i'm actually joining the navy reserves as well. i'm gonna start using that. hahahaha!

  • FlaggyStar you dumbass...

Marines is a branch of the NAVY!!!!!!!!!!

so stfu, unless you know your facts

  • i just got out of the shower and im still naked xD w

  • yummy

  • this isnt fake for all you tards... ive seen it on live television

  • That shit is funny as hell. That's how they do some of those sailors.

  • I always planned on doing a commercial like this, I would have used more sleeping sailors. But you know, I never got around to doing it. Too much sleeping.

  • MARINES PWN!! FUCK NAVY OOORAH!

  • You work for the navy..so..

  • lol dusting the floors??

  • lol living off base RULES

  • The NAVY was a fucking nightmare... Chiefs are the biggest losers on planet earth. Unmotivated cock suckers, who get off fucking over E3 and below. atleast i made it out of there with a honorable and the GI BILL. FTN, FUCK ALL E7's regardless of their service.

  • SNLs was the best!

  • screw the navy. 1.5 years and an extension of eight months coming up on some carrier and now my little sister barely knows her father? FUCK THE NAVY.

  • its called sacrifice, I'm joining the navy as a Damage Control Tech.

  • LOL, you have no idea what your talking about. DC is one of the worst rates there is in the NAVY. DC's muster 1st and then stand by "doing nothing" till atleast 1600 everyday while they watch all their "shipmates go on liberty." oh, and don't think your recruiter likes you... they are all lairs and brag about how many people they fucked over (i worked with 5 of those cocksuckers). every signature goes towards their evaluation especially if its a shitty rate like DC. hey teenager, go to college

  • I'm in college and I'm a EMT-B. Since I last commented I have changed my career to become a Law Enforcement Officer in the Navy.

  • Hell what the hell do you know, I'm an AS (aviation support equipment tech) and believe it or not my recruiters weren't assholes and didn't talk shit, and the Recruiters I know don't talk shit either they told me everything strait up including their promotion was counting on gettin people to join (well only thompsons was) you a jackass Hellcat not everyones like you say they are

  • All joking aside, I am a Navy veteran from South Carolina that was let go from my job after 16 yrs. I am a 45 yr. old white male & American Legion member. I am a hard worker & I don't believe in sitting on my rear collecting a check. If anyone can help, I would be greatful. I am looking in the following counties: Aiken, Edgefield, Greenwood, Lexington, Newberry & Saluda. Either reply or call 864-554-0517 or 864-445-8545. Unlike this commercial, this is no BS. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • NIMITZ------Never Imagined Myself In This Z00

  • cleaning stations, get there!

  • clampdown......

  • I remember those days. That was in Great Mistakes, wasn't it? 800 series barracks. I was glad to get to my ship.

  • The Navy Screwed me. Thank you for posting this video.

  • Boy do I remember those days; field daying every day whether it needed it or not! Then went into the yards and they worked our asses off! The Navy sure got its money out of us!

  • MM2 (SS) Hart, professional shop sweeper!!!!

  • LOL!

  • ROFLMFAO. HOLY SHIT are you serious? LOLZ

Wow what a commercial if that was an official one. Thats what the navy will have you doing LOLz

  • Was that at Annapolis?

  • sweepers sweepers man your brooms......

  • Awake By Godsmack

  • Nuke school flunkee.

  • That was great. 5 stars man.

  • FNLOVEIT

  • I remember awhile back when I was in engineering we were going to do somthing like this. The heat and the steam down there killed the camera!

  • Yeah they usually show the cool stuff in the real commercials but you really need to look at reality and expect people are going to have to maintain the ship and spaces. Believe it or not there are people who like to work and live in clean and sanitary places. That requires people to actually take up a janitorial role at times. By the way it is very necessary to keep the ship clean for safety purposes.

  • Yeah, I love having sweepers 80,000 times a day.

  • MWAHAHAHAA!!

    Funny stuff right there man.

    funny stuff.

    Go MARINES!!!! OOORAHH!!!

  • its all about building character...every job is important to function as on unit.

  • I respectfully disagree, shipmate. Berthing is one thing, but this is clearly a barracks. Government property or not, it's home. The room being trashed is one thing. Dust behind the toilet does not hinder Fleet Readiness nor does it deserve the attention of the sailors command. Just my opinion.

  • Shipmate! Dust is a sailors worst enemy. Enough dust bunnies behind a toliet can KILL A MAN. But seriously, I hate room inspections.

  • well shipmate, I disagree with your disagreement.(?) Even if dust behind the toilet doesn't mean anything, its our responsiblity to make sure its not there, the key word being responsiblity.. something like keeping that clean is very simple, and doesn't take much time... but the lesson behind it (or so I say) is that every small thing counts, if we can't be trusted to clean toilets how can we be trusted to protect a nation

  • uhhh which comment was for me?

  • I was talking to Shuckins... who are you?

  • I thought you were talking to hellcatt. And I'm joining the Navy as either a DC or a MP

  • Newbern theres no guarentee that you'll get the rate you want, I just want you to know that... (well unless your willing to wait a LOOONG time) also for an MP you'll need a drivers license (incase you don't have one)

  • I have mah drivers license. I meant MAA(Master at Arms) which u prob already know what that meant lol.

  • What's an MP? You mean MA?

  • YEA

  • You know, three months ago I would have disagreed with you again but since I have changed commands and moved to the gator side of the Navy I do see your point.

  • bah, I honestly can't think of anything to say, my mind just went blank, but at least you understood where I was coming from

  • its funny but stupid

  • It could be worse, my father was in the Army during the Korean War, and he said one guy in basic messed up, so they all had to go out in the middle of the night with their toothbrushes and scrub the street. No word to as whether they had an extra toothbrush or not!

  • It's so true.

  • so true

  • One of the FUNNIEST F***ING videos I've ever seen here!!!

  • I did that in the Navy when I was a wee ole lad.

  • Why do they depict a janitor, of all occupations? Why not someone who does computer or carrier deck work?

  • damnit where is that awesome navy commercial with the carrier and the sick of life godsmack song

  • Well if your in a type of holding maybe for a clearance for your job then someitmes you get the low ranked work of cleaning , yeah he was cleaning his room it looked like for a room inspection , he didnt have no chevron on his collar and that was not great lakes , this gives people the wrong impression , i bet he was in his a school

even on a ship you will clean alot whatever , he wasnt complaining , he made a funny video about it , lol

  • Hahaha, this is so awesome. I suddenly have respect for you squids' sense of humor.

  • Haha...Only low ranked or trouble makers do that job.

  • no they peel potatoes all day no kidding

  • Why don't they use commercial kitchen machines to peel for them?

  • wow....that was crap...i like the other ones better. Cleaning toilets wont exaclty make young lads join the Navy huh? well...it shows truth i guess.

  • lol hilarious

  • was this filmed at the RTC at Great Lakes?

  • If you are a junior enlisted, yeah, you've gotta do this. But heck, every junior enlisted goes through this ritual. Nothing new here. Once you make E-5 or E-6 (depending how big your unit is), then cleaning days are over. For those that come in as an E-3, then E-5 is only a couple of years off. If you can't make E-5 or E-6 in your first 4 years, then there's a problem. Yes, this is funny, but only partially true.

    Steve (USN/USNR)

  • Your all a bunch of pussies. Stop whining and do your job. You get paid to stand around when your poic isn't looking so what the fuck?

  • you cant make jokes about the navy like that if you havent even left great lakes yet.if you think you hate life there wait till you get on a ship

  • wow you guys made some wrong decisions if you actually do that. i havnt cleaned anything but my room since boot camp.that sucks for you.

  • hahahahahahahahaha yeah that about sums it up

  • I dont know whats worse... The truth behind this, or the actuall fact that I said "Yup, thats me!"

  • Heh, what A-School did you attend? You're in the 800s barracks, that's for sure. Oh, and where did you get that crappy foxtail from? I'm sure the cleaning gear lockers had much better ones than that :P

  • Oh yes, Great Lakes. How I miss you.

  • Ohhh yeah, I lived on the same "deck". Good times.

  • too true

  • This place looks VERY familiar :D
