@Bowmaj21 His name was Elliot Henderson-Boyle, and in other clips on Youtube, you can see his arms. One of them where he uses a phone, and another which is a trailer for Scratchy and Co where he leans out of his little window thing.
So you weren't popular at school then? I used to hate Dick and Dom with a passion and whenever the Saturday Show came back on I was pleased! And when it ended I was disappointed!
I seem to remember in the first few episodes, they tried to imply that Scratchy was a computer generated thing (a bit like Max Headroom- which the whole thing is clearly inspired by), and the beginning of the opening titles had him forming out of pixels. The producers clearly changd their minds though as they stuck that bit on the beginning of the titles about him as a kid and editing of the part which implied he was computer generated.
This must be from the first series, as they'd already gone into the studio by the second series, which the other clip on YouTube is from the final episode of.
Fantastic clip of Scratchy & Co with footage from 1996, brings back great memories. They sure did put some great programmes on back on the day. Was that woman wearing red and black Ronni Ancona?
Jesus Christ d=)

I remember watching Scratchy and Co as a kid, and there was some rumor that the kid in it didn't have any arms, cos you never saw them!

Wasn't his name Scott Chisholm? He appeared in a BBC trail about programming over the years... Narnia etc.. back in 1999 I remember.

Nice shot of Fathead at 5:10! Used to love this show. A lot more off-the-wall and interesting than most children's Saturday morning cak.

SMTV:Live is the best saturday morning show. In fact I'd go as far as to say they should start airing repeats in the origional timeslot.
The rest of the weekend after an smtv episode finished were depressing as hell. Then when It ended it was horrible.

I remember the opening to scratchy and co being scratchy and red throwing paint on a wall in reverse (so the paint was coming off the wall)

This is the earlier Scratchy and Co isn't it? The later one actually had a studio I think.
