  • @DenodMusic wheited no sensitive yes!

  • does anyone know if this works with pro tools 9

  • @sbvikings30 no it doesnt

  • @toghits97 thanks

  • the m-audio keyboard is AWESEOME if you have other authoring software, such as ableton, fl stuido, ect. However, getting pro tools to work with it is a fucking joke.

  • @jbaker88

I´ve just gotten started with this thing even though I´ve had it for several months using the very basics in garageband, just having some fun with it.

I have Ableton Lite 8, and I think I will do just fine with this software for a long time.

I won´t be needing Pro Tools in a hurry anyway, and when I do, maybe it is time to get another keyboard! ... :-)

  • can you use this as an audio interface too?

  • @ashikagasan

Sorry, but I don´t understand the question! :-(

    What is an "audio interface"??

  • @Archos72 Like a soundcard, to record audio and such.

  • @Archos72 oh dear..*facepalm*

  • @Archos72: yes, it is a audio interface plus a controller.

  • @ashikagasan , yes you can use cause the keystudio 49i have an audio interface inside it.

    Regards from Brazil

  • @ashikagasan... YES, it comes with an audio interface, you can record also your guitar, bass, drums, mic, etc.. with the interface built in the same keyboard using logic, protools, garaband, cubase, etc etc...

  • did it come with ableton live!!???

  • @jasonmathieu1

    Hey man!

To be honest with you I haven´t started using the software yet. I´ve got myself a mac mini a couple of weeks ago, and I´ll get to it soon! But I belive it IS "ableton live" YES!! ..

  • thats awesome man!

i want to get ableton live so bad

what are your thoughts on your M-Audio midi keyboard?

  • @jasonmathieu1

Well, I´m a beginner, so my views are that of a beginners!!..

It is AWESOME, and good value for the money!! :-)

  • ok cool

well im thinking of getting one now

    thanks for the info :)

  • @jasonmathieu1

It is "Ableton Live lite 6" that I´ve got!..

  • Good upboxing! what't the difference between 49i and 49?

  • @adamyorks Hi, 49: only midi controller. 49i: midi controller, audio interface and standard keyboard ( can be used not connected to computer with built-in piano sound).

    Regards from Brazil

  • Very interesting my friend. 5 stars!

  • Thanks KatoFilms!

You know I´m gonna get a better HD-kamera (with a better microphone as well) and a Mac computer with good software for videoediting soon!

  • You know KatoFilms!

If you are interesed in starting making music, I think this one might be worth it!

I read in a musicmagazine I bought that you should keep gear SIMPLE and makém GLOW!!... :-)

  • do u think or know if this can be used in FL Studio 8?

  • Sorry, JohnyRichTV, can´t help you with that one!

  • yes , it can be used in fl studio , almost all m-audio midi controllers can :)

  • Yes it can be

  • THANKS i already know now, been using it for 2 months

  • Recorded anything so far JohnyRichTV??

Do you lie the sofware? Use a mac or pc?

I´ve recently bought myself a mac, and haven´t really gotten to using this keyboard that much yet! Will do though! ..

  • yea i used it on a couple beats i'm using it on a PC in pro tools, reason and fl, its works great but already i'm ready to upgrade to a better midi controller

  • is this a midi controler

  • Thank you ! :)

  • So , what do you think about it ? I'm going to buy this one , can you tell us how it sounds like ?

  • Well, I am no expert at these things, but for me, a beginner, this is a good "toy"!

And I have only connected it to an amplifier and played with the "piano" so far! With all these things you can do with recording both from microphone, acustic instruments as well as creating music from software, I say this is a very good start for creating music! You can also connect a mixer! :-)

  • BTW - the computer does NOT have to be turned on for the KeyStudio to power from the usb-cable!

This is really good I think! :-)

  • The "piano" sounds great, and the keys are sensitive to how hard you hit them, just like a real piano! :-)

  • The Keystudio 49i is powered from a usb-cable (the one inside the box only 5 feet), or with a 9 volt transformator from a electrical plug in the house (NOT included). This way you do not have to turn on the computer! Also outputs are L/R 1/4" mono outputs, and if you want to connect it to a normal amplifier you need two 1/4" -> rca converters!
