im not sure if you can help me but i just got a m audio key rig 49 and i installed ableton live 6 but there is no sound too it do know what to do so sound can come out thank youu .
I got the keystudio 49 not 49i though. On their website, they said the 49i was compatible with m powered 8. I just wanna know if the 49 I got is compatible as well.
the m-audio keyboard is AWESEOME if you have other authoring software, such as ableton, fl stuido, ect. However, getting pro tools to work with it is a fucking joke.
I´ve just gotten started with this thing even though I´ve had it for several months using the very basics in garageband, just having some fun with it.
I have Ableton Lite 8, and I think I will do just fine with this software for a long time.
I won´t be needing Pro Tools in a hurry anyway, and when I do, maybe it is time to get another keyboard! ... :-)
@ashikagasan... YES, it comes with an audio interface, you can record also your guitar, bass, drums, mic, etc.. with the interface built in the same keyboard using logic, protools, garaband, cubase, etc etc...
To be honest with you I haven´t started using the software yet. I´ve got myself a mac mini a couple of weeks ago, and I´ll get to it soon! But I belive it IS "ableton live" YES!! ..
@adamyorks Hi, 49: only midi controller. 49i: midi controller, audio interface and standard keyboard ( can be used not connected to computer with built-in piano sound).
yea i used it on a couple beats i'm using it on a PC in pro tools, reason and fl, its works great but already i'm ready to upgrade to a better midi controller
Well, I am no expert at these things, but for me, a beginner, this is a good "toy"!
And I have only connected it to an amplifier and played with the "piano" so far! With all these things you can do with recording both from microphone, acustic instruments as well as creating music from software, I say this is a very good start for creating music! You can also connect a mixer! :-)
The Keystudio 49i is powered from a usb-cable (the one inside the box only 5 feet), or with a 9 volt transformator from a electrical plug in the house (NOT included). This way you do not have to turn on the computer! Also outputs are L/R 1/4" mono outputs, and if you want to connect it to a normal amplifier you need two 1/4" -> rca converters!
Compatible with windows...and Daws like FL Studio?

BTW - the computer does NOT have to be turned on for the KeyStudio to power from the usb-cable!
This is really good I think! :-)

The "piano" sounds great, and the keys are sensitive to how hard you hit them, just like a real piano! :-)
