As God worked miracles through Moses and David and Daniel etc etc, Jesus is God already so he could do miraculous things anytime he wanted. The Holy Spirit is the other part of God (i am sure you are aware of the Holy Trinity) anyway it is Jesus' words again and it is John 14. 15-24 especially focus on when Jesus says "whoever obeys MY teaching. The Father will love him, and WE (the father, son and holy spirit) will come to him and make our home with him.
