  • Sublime Amato Grazie!

  • The great thing about comparing baritones is that they do not suffer from the acoustic process. I slightly prefer Amato, but they are both major artists.

  • @rawdonqueen what do you mean acoustic process?

  • Gobbi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pasquale Amato is great! His voice is clear, the interpretation is hilarious and virtuous!

  • with amatos poor recording u can easily hear that the quality of his voice is superior to gobbis.

  • Pasquale Amato's "Largo al factotum" are already very famous, why not upload a rare Largo al factotum with Amato?

  • It would be interesting to hear Amato if he had been recorded with modern equipment and techniques, and a slower tempo, because there are some spots which would benefit from a slower tempo, but again, I find some parts which sound as though they could have stood to be faster.

  • Gobbi is far better

  • next to Tito Gobbi, I think amato comes a close second. Titta Ruffo a close third! I think Amato must have been fabulous on stage-you can hear his voice with drama and nuances. These historic recordings, are fanatstic. Thanks for posting this.
