haha nowon cares if a rabbit goes through pain, all a rabbit does is sit a round, hop, and eat, stop being so damn cautious and if you dont like the way people do things watch different videos, god damn, does anyone agree with me here?
kind of yeah, but theres still a proper way to go about hunting. i prefer to know that the rabbits dead before it hits the ground, so headshots are a must. and to be perfectly sure i neck them right after. best way in my opinion.
yeh i think hunting is good i enjoy it but it is fair that the animal itself is hit in a deadly spot so that it doesnt suffer any pain once shot, welfare of the animal is kinda key to me its only fair at the end of the day
It's pure supposition to assume an animal "suffers" when it dies. Where's your proof an animal has that level of consciousness? Just because you say it's so doesn't make it so. What's worse, a quick kill from a rifle or being suffocated by the jaws of a predator such as a Bobcat or Cougar?
Thats true, both good points. When I kill something, I kill it as humanely as possible. That doesn't mean I dont shoot stuff, doesnt bother me to kill something, but it's good practice to kill an animal quickly. You dont gutshoot it and let it lie, thats screwed up and I think anyone would agree with me.
@derekleen I agree with you. If I ever do get a shot that does not kill it right away then i will simply just put another one right into the head or in a spot that will make it not have to suffer.
hmmm some of what your saying i agree with, some i do not,
the last bit, HELL YES, it is nicer for it to die via rifle, than be eaten, or to be cooped up all its life and to die and be eaten with having a bad life
however of course it can suffer, the proof is in micro science that identify its nerves, it has a reasonably high amount of motor neurons for the size of it, however with a headshot it will be dead before it even realized something hit it.
hellll yehhh, heart shots the shock would make it feel no pain and would only take a few seconds before flop, dead... not so sure about lung shots, takes time. prefer a nice head/neck shot
yeah i always go for the neck becuase they could suddenly move turn there head and you could miss so i neck it and it's just as good, and if your shooting at a downwards angle you can take the heart out aswell lol *bonus*
@fudge1monkey the bad thing about a lung shot is you get that weird sick feeling because it doesn't look like it is going to die.............but then like 5 seconds later it isn't moving at all:D
Nice shooting. I've just bought an airarms TX200HC. Want to start hunting. Have everyhthing ready to go just trying to get permission to shoot. Nightmare. Down in Kent. Good vid. Keep it up.
Maybee if i lived in countryside like yours i would use a live ammo rifle. Unfortunatly most of my shooting is done near towns so an Air Rifle is the only solution. Thanks for your comment
@TheRabbitDisposer well maybe your someone like me? who has form for attempted murder and has a lifetime firearms ban? i love killing rabbits and things but i have no choice but to use an air rifle. never considered that one did you. when i went into the police station and asked for a firearms form they all started laughing at me. cunts
@TheRabbitDisposer shut up some airguns can fucking kill larger game an air rifle has more than enough to kill them some air rifle rounds reach the same velocity as 22lr round and the 22lr aint exactly brutall powerful if you compare it to 410 slug, buckshot or 223 remington mag which just wrecks the meat gay boy bet you aint even got a fucking bb gun
That must be a fine rifle at 32ftlbs,should take a Rabbit out to 100yards easily. A heavy load like Bisley Magnum or Pest Control will be great in the .177 might stop it going supersonic :)I thought about going on a ticket but i just love to shoot an Air Rifle just below 12ftlbs having to sneak up close is 99% of the enjoyment
Yeh,i know what you mean regarding sneaking up on vermin.I use one of my .177 HW 100's for general vermin control and 1 has my Yukon night vision scope permanantly fixed on it which hopefully will be getting a work out one night this next week. The Air Arms power is ajustable from 6ftlbs right up to a max of 32ftlbs....I have only just got my ticket after many years of using the 12ftlbs air rifles and have to say i should have applied for it years ago...Happy huntin'!
I meant to say Air Arms in .22 not 177 and yes it is quick especialy when i have it set at 32ft pounds....Dropped a lovely carrion crow at the weekend with it at about 50 yards.I am thinking of having one of my HW100's in .177 put on my ticket though they say about 18 to 20ft pounds is about the max to go before you lose accuracy due to pellet distortion.
Nice shot fella...I had an RWS EXCALIBRE in .22 but part exchanged it for a weihrach 100 in 177...Now that is a hunting tool!..The thing i liked about the RWS though was the fact it was very quite....If they did them in 177 i would have bought one of them in the first place....I also have on ticket an AIR ARMS S410 in 177...Now that is a mean airgun!...Keep up the good work.
i think your find that at the moment it is legal to shoot deer with a shotgun if your a farmer i have shotguns but i also do a lot of air rifle shooting i use a air arms s200 and i shoot rabbits easy at 40 yards a challenge is at 60 i also use a rang finder so i no im right
I think ive shot enough rabbits with an air rifle to know what distance it was. Besides i walked over to pick it up so i think your coment is childish and unfounded. If you havent got anything inteligent to say dont bother.
hey dude which one should I choose RWS 52 LUXUS or the RWS 350 MAGNUM. I want enough power and accuracy to kill a big rabbit from 60/70 mts with a headshot and medium sized "skinny pigs" :P from that distance too
true ,true thats very important thats why i like using low power firearms to take game like an example is when i use my 243 or my 35 rem on deer but my real deer guns are my 338 win mag and lazzeroni warbird
well you can go to the police station and get an FAC license so you can shoot your rifles at their max potential which is higher than alot of our guns for example the air arms s410 xtra FAC bolt action or sidelever is 920 fps in 22 which is a lot more powerful than any american springer even the benjamin sheridan super streak in 22 which the velocities said are a load of shit but the velocities of your guns are very true hope this helps and you should also use subsonic or cb 22's(short,long,lr)
the problem is getting a firearms certificate, its not as easy as walking in, then a background check then you get it :(
then there is the long wait for it to be proccessed :( and finally a bunch of rules and regulations that come with it :( We need a "good reason" for every firearm we perchase.
that means there is a limit on the firearms you can have:
- deer rifle
- fox rifle
- target rifle
what next, there isnt much more you can add here???
sorry that sucks but how many guns do you guys in the UK need because the only game i ever hear of being taken in the UK is deer, fox, rabbit, squirrel, pigeon, wild boar, red deer, pheasant, waterfowl, crows, magpies, rooks, minks, and related game and you can do all of this with a 12 guage 3-1/2 inch shotgun using 2-3/4 inch shells for birds and fox,3 inch for bigger birds and fox at slightly longer range and 3 inch slugs for deer and 3-1/2 inch slugs for wild boar and red deer
woops i thought you had boar there and i didnt know that you couldnt hunt deer in england with a shotgun.that sucks. but you could use only a 17 rem fireball for fox 30-06 for deer and a 22 for pests and a 3 inch shotgun for game birds and waterfowl
yes, we could do all those hunting things with those weapons. i wish we could hunt deer with shotguns, because a shotgun certificate is alot eaisier to get than a firearm certificate.
why would it be easier to get a shotgun certificate?because rifles are higher powered and need a more experienced shooter because of their greater effective range?
A shotgun certificate allows someone to buy as many shotguns as they want. The shotguns can only have a cartrige capacity of 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine. A firearms certificate allows someone to have rifles (rimfire and centerfire)and i think that they are allowed high capacity shotguns too but im not sure. A shotgun certificate is eisier because the proccess isnt as hard, its more simple and quicker..... and beacuse it can only have 3 shells in the gun and its 35 yard range.
the bolt spring sounded anoying
