Final Cut Pro X is really iMovie Pro - or iMovie2 - or iMovie Deluxe - whatever you want to call it.
It IS NOT an upgrade to Final Cut Pro.
It absolutely sucks - and until they make a ( REAL ) Final Cut Pro Deluxe - I will just continue to use Final Cut Pro

@SALESPRODUCTIONS I can understand your frustration. It stinks when we come to rely on something that changes. It removes our sense of control and that sucks no matter who you are or what the thing is. As a non-professional video editor Final Cut Pro X is very easy for me to use and as you illuded to, it makes an awesome version of iMovie on steroids. It's what I have wanted iMovie to be all along. I hope that they can bridge the gap for you one eventually.
