  • a life without my girl is no life at all, or worth living...:(

  • i love the movie. . .and the song? amazing. . .specially this one.

  • he sounds like roy orbison

  • @kf932009 Or Chris Issak!

  • John c reily is the last person I would expect to be a good singer but he's f*cking awesome :)

  • dam.. i cant believe that people actually saw this shit :D

  • @jicpro You saw it...

  • I seriously completely adore John C. Reilly. He's just amazing. He's a great actor, and he can sing so ridiculously well.

  • id get on that shit so fast.

  • THIS WILL BE MY WEDDING SONG LOL :D

  • This is such a great song! I was just watching the movie for the first time and had to search it out. John C. Reilly does have a kick ass voice.

  • John C. Reilly can actually sing! I love his voice.

  • haha he is actually a good singer :D

  • great

  • His vocal range is impressive.Love the Cox.

  • It's almost two octaves... This is the song where he impersonates Roy Orbison who had a similar range. Most people don't have it.

  • @lawrence142002

do u know the specific roy orbison song?

  • "only the lonely"

    is the closest.

  • @warlock132547

    thanks

  • I love the movie and the songs they are a 5/5 in my eyes.

I even like the 'American Cox : The Incredibly Long, Self Indulgent, Directers Cut'.

  • "So many men here who say: I love Cox!" - Priceless!!

  • Do you like memorabilia?

  • love you dewey <3 :P

  • his funny in boogie nights too

  • I love u Dewey COx :-P :-*

  • John is the man, a truly great actor whos recent dabblings in comedy have been amazing. what a great singer.

  • "Darlin you must believe" is I think (capo 4) G, G aug (G plus index on on 1st fret D string), C, Cm. "A life without you" is G, Em, Am, Cm, G. I see now that chords were asked for 3 months ago but if anyone tries it, let me know how it treats you

  • omg thank you so damn much. i searched for tabs.. tried figuring it out by ear and everything. You are an angel for taking the time to write a comment like these.. i copyed your comments and saved them in a word doc. so i can try and learn this tomorrow. my god thanks. oh yeah i love this effin song if you couldnt tell

  • reading your comment i asume you have the chords to this song would really appreciate it if you could pass them on.

  • You have to capo 4 and do a little walk down thing. From a G chord, walk down the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd frets of the D string to a G7. From there it's a C, Caug (C plus the first fret on G string), D, and D7. Listen to the song for the timing and you can see how it progresses. That's the verse at least. It's pretty cool

  • i laughed so hard during this movie

  • does anybody know the chords for this song?

  • I think it is B, E, F# (main Chords) - Then the chorus extends from B... send me a message if you want me to figure it out for ya bro...

  • i was the guy that yelled "i love sweaty cox"

  • the movie was OK but the music was great! i wish they had more live videos or recordings from this tour.

  • I agree with you completely. The movie was only "OK" to me too but I loved the music in it. It was fun picking the songs apart as you listened and figuring out what songs influenced each song as well. My favorites were this Roy Orbison number and the Dylan inspired song "Royal Jelly". Of course the song writing talents of spoof artists are often quite good, just look at the "Ruttles" songs such as "Cheese and Onions" etc.

  • I have a perfect life, you are the perfect wife.

I dont know why why why, I sit and cry cry cry.

And now I miss you so, please dont let me go.

I make mistakes and that is true, atleast i learn each time I do.

Darlin you must believe, I could never leave you if I tried. A life without you, is no life at allllll.

  • Tears fall in vein,

    I'm standing in the rain,

    No matter how i feel,

I never seem to know whats real,

    So sharpen up your knives,

    Stab me in the eyes,

I want to cry rivers of blood,

I want to do drown myself in your love

Darlin you must believe, I could never leave you if I tried. A life without you, is no life at allllll.

  • anybody got this lyrics? i need the lyrics for it

  • mike viola rules.

  • I wish Orbison were still around so that he could cover this!

  • that was the best song of the movie i loved it

  • @floydmichaelmoss I fuckin thought tha same thing.... in tha movie is was so f*ing sweet

  • Beautiful ride!!!

  • i love this song....shit

  • yeah this is a great song.

is it a cover of a song by another band or something? it doesn't seem like the usual generic shit hollywood pumps out for musically-inclined movies.

  • songwriter mike viola wrote it for the movie

  • It's cool that he has actual singing talent, rather than dubbing someone else's voice

  • damn straight! the music in walk hard is really fukkin sick

  • this is a really good song
