Clive is an old Shane friend from a bad past - they met when Shane was homeless and pretended to be a boy - both turned tricks on Santa Monica Boulevard to survive -Shane has escaped from that life has a job as an hairdresser and a room of her own now-she meets Clive again and he asks her to live with her for a while cause he doesn't have a place to go- she agrees but Clive steals from her roomates and is kicked out causing problems for Shane -that's why she's so angry in this scene
