She should never had left Theatre Of Tragedy. Members were never the same, apart.
TOT ended meanwhile, and after that she made only worthless empty work, trying to reach the unreacheable, compared what they did together back then, its nothing. Such dismembering, not only is hard within the band but sorrowed by all the fans they teared apart.
Only remains Theatre of Tragedy, Velvet Darkness They Fear, A rose for the dead and Aégis.
So, in terms of style and talent, Leaves' Eyes keeps improving with every album, but I really can't get over the fact that they've pretty much tossed out the viking theme for a celtic/pagan/olde english theme, which is already done to death by every other folk metal band with a female vocalist. I won't stop listening to them, but one of the biggest reasons I liked them was because they were a viking/Nordic band with a female lead, so Njord will remain my favourite album by them.
@Littiy i think that this album was a really big step for them musically. As far as theme, that's more a matter of personal preference, and I don't think they've gone away from the viking theme completely, it may not be as prominent, but it's still there.
@MrLucassen i couldn't agree with you more. But music hasn't a language made of words... but beats of sounds... so noway everyone will be feeling the same thing in a different language when they listening to the beats of this song or any other song...^^
@wickedcircle I agree. But that doesn't mean it HAS to be in English like meru2012 suggested. Imagine Rammstein in English. that wouldn't work at all.
even if leaves eyes is a great band i would like if theatre of tragedy would make a reunion togehter with liv and nell as two singers that would be wonderful
@nazouanta wtf are You talking about morelike. i think you will find that there are two tracks in old english on this cd you twit meredead and sorhleod.
Now you may ask, why sing in Old-English? Since my Old-English studies I’ve taken great interest in both Old-English poetry and grammar. I just felt that this song required Old-English lyrics, and an Old-English “sound”, moreover, it needed this historical feel! you will find more that took this from on the official site.

@Airsck search Google for "Eow frithes healdan" and click "Leaves' Eyes – 'Meredead' sample and own words by Liv Kristine," it has the mostly Old English lyrics and a translation :)

@HARDRlC She didn't leave ToT. She was fired and she only learnt about it through the band's website.

La voz que empieza en el 1:04 no es la de Liv...de quien es? Alguien sabe? Le da un aire a la De Tarja Turunen (pero mas linda!) :)

@nazouanta It's mostly Old English and a little bit of modern day English. What you think is Norwegian is actually Old English, look it up.
