does the Octo reverb setting on the M13 not provide the pitchshift-type sound you are looking for?

yea it would have worked but my M13 is on a table so i couldnt activate the change live without putting it on the floor. i could have done the drive thing too at the start but Im just lazy :)

Have you tried playing this song on your 52 tele per chance? Personally I love Edge's BBC rooftop tone and was curious if a tele like yours could come close to that...

Thats the only time that the Edge has played the song with a Tele. All of the other times, he uses a Country Gentlemen. I personally think the country gentlemen sounds better.

I've seen Edge play it with an Epiphone Casino, not a CG... maybe he uses both?

are you talking about Magnificent? watch any vid on youtube, Ive never seen him play it with his Casino. Ive seen him use a Telecaster once (the rooftop show) a Les paul once (some talk show) and every other time is a country gentlemen.

you're right, I got confused with the Fordham University show they did, Edge used the Gentlemen in there, but used the Casino for Breathe.
