Great job mate.

Ive been playing it like this on an acoustic for ages and it still gets a good reception from people even though I dont play it at the 12th fret (though I can do that) The idea is to make it simple for us plebs that like to entertain people and get paid for it.

I try to play songs exactly how the originals are played,note for note,but sometimes ya just gotta improvise.

When the punters are pissed at the pub,theyre not gunna care how ya play it.

i thought this was good. Trying to play it how its done on an electric is kind of a pain on acoustic unless you have a cutaway and can get to frets twelve through fifteen. Thats the beauty of music though, we can tweak it and play with it and make it FUN. If everyone played it exactly the same there would be no point in playing it. I was wondering what was the best way to do this song on acoustic and i thought the original way on the electric didnt sound too great on acoustic, besides its easier to play on the d chord anyway. Im using different chords for the verses but thanks for that.

@Arion701 - Its ok guys, no need to pull the gloves off. I know that this version of Sweet Child isn't the same as Slash plays on Electric. I was merely showing a relatively simple way of transferring it to Acoustic while maintaining the feel and rhythm of the song. Youtube comments aren't supposed to be here to diss ppl out, so you need to have a good look at urself as to why you feel the need to bring someone down that u haven't even met. Hey mate. Thats right, this isn't how slash plays it on his gibson. All I've done is move every note 12 notes down, taking it to the lower octave. This just made it way easier to play it on acoustic, cause all I usually get is twang if i try to go higher than the 12th fret.

look up the tabs to the original intro and subtract 12 frets from every number basically. Never in a hundred years did i ever think to do that for the one Guns N'Roses intro I couldn't play.

You're right man, I tried that but found it a bit clunky on acoustic so i moved all the notes down an octave. It makes it a shitload easier to play and the notes sound clearer

Well mate its pretty much just picking D chords and C chords. The way I worked it out is to look up the original tabs and take away 12 from every number in the tab. Obviously if the number on the tab is 10 or something just convert it to the next string down. I'll try to write up the tabs and send them to ya
