@PathofTorah4life Then why does Jeremiah claim what it does?I am not claiming the law was changed, Christianity does not claim that the law was changed.The law is good and it was fulfilled in Christ Jesus, everything was....from the commandments right down to the sacrificial atonements.
@PathofTorah4life Apart from Christ, one has not received the Holy Spirit of God which enables one to live a life pleasing to God.It's not about the power of the flesh or our own good works, this is about God and his Spirit living in us that we receive by faith in Christ.

@PathofTorah4life Therefore, the Mosaic Covenant itself, with all its detailed laws, could not save people. It is not that there was any problem with the Law itself, for the Law is perfect and was given by a holy God, but the Law had no power to give people new life, and the people were not able to obey the Law perfectly (Galatians 3:21).

@PathofTorah4life Also, the sacrificial system of the Mosaic Covenant did not really take away sins (Hebrews 10:1-4); it simply foreshadowed the bearing of sin by Christ, the perfect high priest Who was also the perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 9:11-28).

If we die with Christ, we also too die to sin, so how can to those who die to still still remain in them?We live by the Law of Christ.It's not just an external matter but, like Jesus showed us, it's a matter of the heart.I just wanted to make this clear just in case you may be wondered what we ought to do as Christians.

Through the life-giving Holy Spirit who lives in all believers (Romans 8:9-11), we can now share in the inheritance of Christ and enjoy a permanent, unbroken relationship with God.

@PathofTorah4life Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law of Moses (Matthew 5:17) and create a new covenant between God and His people. The old covenant was written in stone, but the new covenant is written on our hearts, made possible only by faith in Christ, who shed His own blood to atone for the sins of the world.

@PathofTorah4life he new covenant is spoken about first in the book of Jeremiah. The old covenant that God had established with His people required obedience to the Old Testament Mosaic law. Because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), the law required that people perform rituals and sacrifices in order to please God and remain in His grace.

@PathofTorah4life let's just say everyone failed to work for me for two years, then my contract with them(covenant) has been transgressed(just like we all transgress against God by breaking his laws)..then along comes someone who actually does keep the contract perfectly and works for me for two years..then the contact(covenant) can be done away because it has been completed and and a new contract(covenant)can be introduced.

@PathofTorah4life No,again, I never claimed the law was changed..that is not the case I am trying to make at all...but it was fulfilled(the old covenant that is)and therefore a new covenant can be established(like the OT said it would be).Think of it like this: If I set out a contract on all people in America that they should work for me for two years and if they do not, then they will have to face the consequences

@PathofTorah4life Then why does Jeremiah claim what it does?I am not claiming the law was changed, Christianity does not claim that the law was changed.The law is good and it was fulfilled in Christ Jesus, everything was....from the commandments right down to the sacrificial atonements.

@PathofTorah4life This does not mean we are free to sin, God writes his laws on our hearts and we grow to live in holiness and be conformed to the image of Christ, God leads his people by his Spirit, he sanctifies them and disciplines them, and they know him for they have eternal relationship with him through Christ Jesus.

@PathofTorah4life Even the Old testament prophecies about the new covenant God will make will his people.( in Jeremiah 31:31-33)..the text states God will now write his laws upon their hearts...which is now the case in the new covenant, we need circumspection of the heart, so that again, we worship not in the letter of the law but in Spirit and in Truth.

@PathofTorah4life Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant,the only way for the law to save us is if we kept it perfectly, however, we all fail at that and terribly.Therefore, the law condemns us and shows us we are sinners.For if the law had not said "do not covet", I would not know it was wrong to covet.Jesus came and fulfilled the law.He was perfect and without sin, therefore the old covenant has now been accomplished in him and a new and better hope as come in.

I really think this video is great. I am studying Hebrew at a free site-Hebrew 4 Christians- Just google it. It is geared to adults who have never studied a foreign language. Start as simply as the alphabet, go through the Torah, the Psalms, the Names of G-d, and much more. I like the daily site blog that tells of the upcoming Shabbat and Jewish holidays, it has a verse of the moment and more. I share because it means so much to me. Seriously. In revelation 19. The rider on the white horse has a name which only he knows. Why do you think that is? Why would yashua be called immanuel? Why would his NAME be called wonderful counselor, everlasting father or mighty god? Because to god a name is something totally different that to you. If jesus is immanuel then he must be mexican.. Great video, except for a couple of points... especially that "the Pharisees couldn't stand him." That's not a fair statement. Many among the Pharisees believed. And Yeshua Himself says, Whatsoever the scribes and Pharisees bid you, that observe and do." His issue was with the hypocrites among them.
