i love whu. i havent got proof, but i will be as honest as i can: I arrived at Upton Park last year to visit the shop and when i arrived, the players were coming out of the reception to get on the coach because the were heading off to play against aston villa and i saw Gianfranco Zola, Robert Green, Lois Boa Morte, Steve Clarke and a few more. to be totally honest, Gianfranco Zola is a really small man, lol.

Upson's just shot up in my estimation. Not often you get to listen to a footballer speaking frankly about his team, let alone infront of an intimidating bunch of disappointed and angry fans. Deserves a lot of credit in my book.

matty is right though, it wasnt for lack of effort that we lost, its just we didnt click and there was no clear tactics as to how to play. We have the players to be a top 10 team but Zola and Clarke need to figure out what formation best fits our players.

They have an evening to figure it out. Come on Zola and Clarke!

I'm not a WHU fan and I certainly can't comment on how Upson played. However, no one has given him any credit for having the balls to come out and speak to angry supporters. Seems an astonishing to do in the modern game, when players invariably leave straight after the game in blacked-out sports cars. Upson didn't have to do it. If he'd done it after a big victory you could accuse him of milking it. However, he had nothing to gain from exposing himself to the criticism. Credit where it's due.

This guy is one of the worst captains ever to grace our great club. We need leadership and roll your sleeves up passion at the moment and he isnt giving it. I left 10 minutes into the second half on Tuesday because I was so ashamed of our players. Us fans would kill to be in the position they are in and would die for the cause. I fear we are doomed this season unless Upson and his colleagues finally grow some bollocks and start performing. Make Parker captain NOW!!!!!!

idiots. upson is a decent player. its not his fault if the other players are rubbish. why should he take the blame for the whole team underperforming. its more to due with the manager and the tactics he uses. trust me, if the manager has no internal passion or managerial skills, this WILL reflect on the players. no doubt. zolas inexperience as a manager and irrationality are showing thru.

Im a CFC fan and i hope West Ham dont go down, if anything for Zola's sake. You guys have got to give him time. Upson is a mug. First class. If JT spoke like that to us I would be fuming. No positivity at all in his words. Scotty P wants it every game. You wont go wrong with him.

Where Zola has failed is that he has brought in some physically weak players who look lost in the prem.  Im also suprised with Steve Clarke. I honestly thought he was a bit special as a number 2??

If West Ham lose on Saturday against Stoke then I think Trevor Brooking should be asked to come in as temporary manager...he's our only hope then, realistically, as he won't be asking for million pound salary, enough to compensate for his time/effort during the last 6/7 games!!! I know what I'm talking about.
