The term euroasia comes from that europe and most of asia is on the same tetonic plate, the euroasian plate.

On the other hand, the north american plate includes greenland, half of iceland and a part of russia and a small part of japan. That doesn't make all thoose countries the same continent, neither are they north american.

All of U.S and Canada is on the north american plate, Hawai that is on the pacific plate.
