As for aspirating, I'd like to hear it that fast with a different mechanism. Any one know of any other recordings where this is the case? There are those who might be able to accomplish this feat with connected clear articulation, but often the preciseness of the pitches suffer, and the end result would be less exciting. Slow it down about 5 clicks and it would work. Thoughts? Kraus was able to aspirate and stay 100% on the voice which is to be applauded.
Well, I know for sure this version is from Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart / Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, directed by Helmuth Rilling.
And the only recording of BWV 26-2 under Rilling's direction had Adalbert Kraus as the performing Tenor. You guys can check it at bach-cantatas(dot)com
@The30YearOldVirgin You ARE correct. It is Adalbert Kraus. I do not think Peter Schreier is better.....just different. Thank God for people who don't have to argue and compare who and what is better. Bach had to compose for what he had at his disposal.
Swinging Bach!

Who is this tenor? I like him... I just wish he wouldn't aspirate the fioratura as much.
