Kizashi's appearance was more based off of the Suzuki family of cars, such as Suzuki Splash, Suzuki Swift, Aerio and Suzuki SX4. The swoop grille design first appeard on the Suzuki Concept S which was penned in 2000 which then became concept S2 (2003) and became a production car by 2004. All long before VW used the grille on the Jetta.
Would never have thought the car was a Suzuki, at first glance, I thought I was looking at a VW or another Euro brand. The Suzuki rep had a lot to say in such a short clip, I thought he did a good job with an experienced reporter.
Saw other clips of the Kizashi, looks better in other colors, the same Suzuki guy, Eddie Rayyan is in other clips, did a great job on the description.
What would be most interesting is if this car actually lives up to its name.
"kizashi" in Japanese means something along the lines of "foreshadowing", "signs", "omens", etc.
If we're lucky, perhaps they mean to indicate that this is the new direction they're taking and that it's indicative of where Suzuki is headed. Another lower-tier brand climbing the quality ranks (a la Hyundai) to fight toe-to-toe with the big boys can only be good for the industry. Hooray, capitalism.
The similarity to a VW is not coincidental as VW now owns 20% of suzuki, so it does look like a japanese jetta

Its sad.. I actually don't know the name of the host. But I preferred to hear him speak, compared to the Suzuki rep.
He does a lot better job in my opinion at recognizing things on the car.. and his voice just sounds better.
