@rifway22 You have a point, his return to the squad during qualifiers was the catalyst behind their successful qualification. The problem was that France got a lot of draws before Zidane returned (couldn't win against weak opposition). It wasn't a total disaster pre-Zidane
@fszron I do agree!! and of course he was the best french player at WC 2006 and 2nd best after Cannavaro coz of his headbutt incident in the final. Zidane could have been the only player to win player of the year award 4 times... A RECORD! God bless you Zizou
