The best, and most accurate, depiction of satan I have ever seen! Always telling part of the truth and twisting the oppositions actual intentions. Pacinos performance is hair raising!

When you watch the last 20 minutes of this film and see Al Pacino act the way he did, you get reminded as to why when he is at the top of his game, the only person who is up there with him is De'Niro. He shows why he is one of the best actors in the history of acting. I really miss people making roles taylor made just for him so we can all see why he is one of the greatest.
my favorite seen is when he is telling the puerto rican guy his girlfriend is getting her shit pushed in by paco for a jumbo of a crack. the devil is a people person always willing to help his fellow man.

Pacino warned him, "I set the stage... you pull your own strings." Yet, he didn't listen. Pacino set it up so Keanu got that gun, knowing it only kills people... even in self-defense. When Pacino urged Keanu on about raping his wife, Keanu should've had restraint in pulling the trigger on Pacino. Having restraint in decision making makes for a good Christian.
@betatalk357 Pacino did it to "force" Keanu to shoot. It was only at the end that Keanu saw the "stage" for what it was, being a "puppet in a sick play, serving a master who is an ungrateful lunatic." And made the right choice by not being a puppet any more.

@MrJlr19 Everyone is a sinner, and life is a test. The people in Rwanda are blessed for having the opportunity to die in the name of God. Why do you see death as so sinister? Better to die than live a sinful life. God does work in mysterious way, hes ways are so righteous that you can understand it because you lack the understand and wisdom he has. God is like a strict father who only wants to best for those who love him. Many Christians will die in this age but will be revived to eternal life.

You can see how satanist's are all self-centered, but God and his followers are selfless. He gives man instinct so that he can see who really loves him, God can't create free will love, so he sets the stage backward so that those who love him will resist the nature for love. Then He will create a God out those who love him so that they can help him create but those who don't love him will die twice. Satan nurtures our nature despite the fact that it leads to our down fall then blames it on us.

True freedom is attained through knowing thyself, and feeling one's emotions unhindered by any man-made guilt preached by a religion. If it was proved that your god did not exist, would you feel the way you lived your life was fulfilling? I would think not. Christianity enslaves the mind to guilt.

@JonARod87 A little bit off on the info there. He was and still is an angel. His job however being named in the old testament as The Satan meaning the contestant. Its hit job to tempt humans into sin and away from the word of god. The version you have came in about 1500 years later after the trials of nycea at the start of the catholic church where they made some changes. Originally there were only 2 angels named in the bible Mikael (Michael) & Gabriel (Gabrielle). Later versions added others
