Jeez... Make that dog sit! What happened to using treats? He would be trained so much quicker and easier!!

@RuffRehabillitation Honestly, treats seem to be a rather 'new' form in training. This is rather more traditional and I personally prefer it, since I've had and had friends who trained with treats and the dogs became more attached to wanting the food, then to please.

@RuffRehabillitation... Treats are for townies! Fat kids - fat Labs... Get them to do it because they want to/love to. Try to engage with & understand your dog... rather than ply it with goodies to get it to fit in with your lack of paitance!

@RuffRehabillitation using treats?!?!? I'd never use treats to train a dog, unless it was the only way. If you make the dog do something with a treat to much it'll expect a treat!

i hear u can always use trests and hold it over its head so that it would lean backwards and sit.

is sam a springador? because he hs got quite big ears compered to a lab

Between trainings is Sam kept in the kennel!! Or dose he be let lose around a yard or house for instance.
