I wish Paddy Moloney would do more appearances with the Muppets - I love the Muppets and Paddy is such a good entertainer and educator about Irish music. I think it sounds like a winning combination. :-)
@shialtin I might have it. I'll have to check the tape. It's episode 107 (If You Can Play, It's an Instrument) if that helps any. Your description sounded vaugely familiar, so I'll give it a shot.
@foxxyloxx I'm really not sure - it's been a while. I remember the guy had a lot of hair, I think was wearing a (velvet?) frock coat and was sat in the middle of all these synths. The camera looked down on him - the keyboards were arranged in a stepped square around him. There seemed to be dozens of them, but you know, kid's memories and so on, there were probably only four :)
Ooooh, I have the preview for this episode on one of my old tapes recorded off of HBO (oddly enough, I believe it was Jim Henson'sThe Frog Prince) and omg, no word of lie, Riff's whistling/that beautiful flute melody has haunted my sister and I (in a good way) since we were little kids. I searched youtube for this, endlessly hoping to find the full version. So it's not a real song then, it 's just one they wrote for the show?
R.I.P. Jim Henson; thanks for shaping our lives in so many ways. ♥
Does anyone have a clip from this show that featured someone covering the theme tune on what seemed like 14 different synthesisers at once? I can't remember the name of the artist, but have had the scene (and song) stuck in my head for years.
Is this a real piece or did they write/ improvise it for the show? If anyone knows the name of it I'd greatly appreciate knowing what it is. It's so beautiful.

Why don't we have these shows anymore? We need shows to teach the importance of the arts.
Quidam 2 years ago 14
Because we don't have Jim Henson anymore.

*sighs* he left us way to early.

@Quidam Because kids don't give a rip anymore. It's all about those cheesy teen sitcoms and cartoons that go nowhere. Right?

@NaiTaiDai Yeah. Kids just want stupid humor these days

The string quartet of monsters were recycled from Frackles of "The Muppet Show".

I believe the purple one seen at 3:05 appeared in the Muppets "Bohemian Rhapsody" video.
