I meant to say who owns Reuters, associated press, and many multi media empires? Who owns the US? He just says the US, the elites, and nothing specific. Are all you like me and f*cking sick of Mr. Chomskys generalities without naming names? Is he afraid of something?
Gotta love Mr. Chomsky's ability to speak in generalities when referring to the elite but never naming any specific names. For ex. Why doesn't he every talk about the Federal reserve, and who owns and controls it or how about the Multi media filtering centres like Reuters and Associated Press. I am sick of generality discussion. I want him to be more specific and name names or is he talking out of his ass?
@AntonBatey Yeah after this email I bought his book and looked up some of the stuff that stood out... not even from his citations but from other sources... I cant believe these things can go on without a damn word mentioned. It just goes to show how under control the media is in this country. Unbelievable. That is why people like Chomsky are very necessary for a nation running on delusions.
@vn3vedi um I think its:"Barbara Thornton, Margriet Tindemans & Sequentia - O Successores Fortissimi Leonis (De Confessoribus, Antiphona) " thats what youtube says it is. I forgot the name of this song
Now consider this. If the US is in "control" of the UN, and the US is pushing for a one world government controlled by the UN (g20), wouldn't that make the US in control of the world? A silent, complete take over of the whole world. Wow... kind of a scary thought? King Obama...
Not so sure that those that are part of the US government (congress/senate/supreme court) have anything to do with this. It is designed and constantly pushed by a small groupd of rich and highly influencial people. Even if they do succeed I believe that technology would put an end to secrecy and power. Besides even if they do remain in power they can only do so by not pissing us of which mean they walk a thin line made thinner by social media. Nothing would be a scret anywhere in the world.
I had the same experience with Professor Chomsky, he back to my email within 12 hours (given 5 hour time difference), I was very impressed. In fact, he responded to my email faster than the academics that work in my university!!
economically, its fingers straddle most of the planet. obviously in the past decade you see it in overt military action, to consolidate its hegonomy. i doubt that there are more than 12 countries completely free of US influence. but, obama isnt the one pulling the strings. no US president ever will be.
I love Noam Chomsky 2! But I'd be really surprised if he celebrated Thanksgiving, Columbus day or any other holiday which insults the memory of the 25 million indigenous people of the Americas slaughtered by the new settlers.
Freedom of the press? to a certain extent. The freedoms are granted and not intervened(or so I think) by the Gov't of the US but in the other hand advertising money from big corporate America does influence the angle of which the news is covered (if covered at all). Free it is, free of influence it isn't. God bless every single human being, from every single country! (not just America).
Loved the angelic music accompanied by thoughts of Noam's transcending character (divine implication) which me admits is just ordinary; just goes to show you how base are the standards of the powerful decision makers.
Yes, the man is not only intelectually but moraly great. Just one question. Are you going to undertake the research on the UN history in the terms Noam has advised to you?
Not entirely. He did give me direction and from that I now where to look harder. I just wanted to share this with people. I wrote to him again this time regarding the financial crisis and when he responds (if he gets to) I will also put it up on youtube.
Real cool of you to share dude. Be nice if everyone who ever got a response from him could pool their collective answers into a compilation, would really stretch his effort out a little more :D

Chomsky is a great humanitarian and a great man.
He is right. I just read his entire Failed States book within 2 days and he indeed goes over the entire Oil For Food scandal, and how it was,
a) a U.S. scandal where US firms were profiting, and
b) makes people forget the REAL scandal, which were the sanctions

Real activists don't take Thanksgiving off... not until justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

It's amazing, so dead-on, plain and Machiavellian; as explained, it is natural and simple to understand, but hard to accept

Great fucking video!!!!
Anyone else that has written to Noam, please post his responses on you tube. I wish I could write to him but I don't know where.
BTW, happy B-day Noam!!!! Even at 80, he is still laying the smackdown on the illegitimate powers out there.
