blah blah blah, tax dollars, ? what do you mean this is wasting money? if you are going to accuse of wasting money, u should accuse the mission in Iraq. Water-aid is a minimal cost to our developed countries and it is our responsibility to help people that are in need of clean water
if you guys want to make a difference check out nikola teslas wireles power transfer, i put up info on it, it would run your cleaning pumps in the middle of nowhere with just a wire in the ground.
There are restrictions on African farmers. Plus corrupted leaders make it easy for out siders to loot resources. Those who are not corrupted are labeled terrist.
It's a need, not a right. No one has a right to a 'commodity'. One has a right to his freedom and his liberty. I also have the right to help those people with no water, should I choose to.
I think you missed the entire point of this video. It's not a "government" program. It's funded by a charity. Nonetheless, these children were not asked to be born into their present situation, and regardless of their governments corruption, it's only a simple call to action for those whom are in a position to help. These are GODS children, and sometimes people need a helping hand. You, and I, were very, very lucky to have been born here in America. Helping those in need can be rewarding.
No, I didn't miss the point. I've serve in these third world basket cases. These backwater nations can't bring themselves out of their cultural dismay, much less figure out how to BOIL WATER and WASH THEIR HANDS.
I know you think my harsh, but the truth is the truth. We have millions of US citizens, US children that need help. I say start in your own back yard where the change really means something. That's what I contribute too.
Your comments are what i expect from an uneducated, unintelligent child. We in developed countries carn't even begin to comprehend how hard these peoples lives are. For the breadwinner of the family to get sick through drinking contaminated water (through no fault of there own) can be absolutely DEVASTATING to the family who relies on them. Show me 1 American who has to walk 6 hours a day to scoop infected water into a barrel just to survive. We're talking about the bare basics here CLEAN WATER!
as long as the USA continues to subsidized farmers here in the USA, Africa and many other countries will continue to be poor...do you think you could possibly sell your crops for lower than an American farmer who is subsidized by the Govt?...hahaha, no you can't...the reason why AFrica is fucked is because of the American people and the American Govt's policies...
the world works on a free market so everyone is going to buy the cheapest crops/food that they can and since the US farmers are subsidized by the Govt, they can sell their crops for dirt cheap and still make a profit...subsidies are just re-imbursements by the US Govt...so they may get $1 million from the Govt each year based on the amount of crops they produce and since this happens they can go lower than any other countries and thus, putting those countries out of business...
continued...that's why I said the American people are indirectly to blame because they pay the taxes that are re-directed in terms of subsidies that in turn put the other countries out of business and making them virtually starve to death...
in the end the us sells the cheapest product making it available.. so your argument actually works against you.. america is feeding these people.. and the other countries that cant sell their more expensive crop as you say have extra crop to feed their own country.. no1 starves... free market of supply and demand works its way out everytime.
Thanks for all you are doing to make life better for so many people, this video needs millions of viewers in order to share such an important message.

If American's want to send their money overseas to these nations, and its out of their own pocket, not the tax payers, so be it.
I believe our nation has enough poor and sick that need our help right here in the good old USofA.
Most of these countries would stick a knife in our backs given the chance.
Billions of tax dollars go to these nations to be thrown away, squanders and pad the pockets of corrupt officials.
We can't save the world when we can't seem to save ourselves.

Compaire the poorest American you will find in the 'good old USofA' to an average poor peson in the 3rd world, you will see a HUGE void my friend.

Don't forget that If America didn't grow the surplus crops they do, many more people around the world would go hungry.
I commend anyone who helps out those in need, including educating people to help themselves.

you're telling me that people in africa cant get crops from anyone else besides the united states?
and plus, the dollar is dropping, the euro is much stronger, therefore cheaper.
every euro is $1.4
200 euros is $284
it adds up doesn't it?
but if i go by your theory then this will change very soon... as long as there is a war in iraq, then the dollar will drop more.
