  • Hi there,

I liked the film Nice animation style.

As its produced by E.on, I'd be tempted to add more, possibly as a follow-up film, about what E.on are doing to increase output from all renewable technologies.

I know E.on have a large wind portfolio, for example.

    WPR

  • Hi @windpowerrocks Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting. We're planning more videos about all types of energy generation we're involved in, so watch this space.

  • Very creative and well edited; thank you for sharing!

I was very intrigued by the comment to have each home produce its own power (an idea that I, and others, keep foremost in our thoughts).

Energy is all around us and abundant, the issue is accessing it easily by everyone.

I may add the same is true of water too (air condenses to water).

    LOVE & Peace

    (GLOBALLY)

  • Hi @ronmamita Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed the video.

  • There was a bit here about own homes being it's own little power stations. How would this work for a block of flats I wonder? The tidal wave thing is quite interesting as well...is there a site that has more info on that?

  • @auran5 Thanks for your interest. You can find out more about wave power at the E.ON UK website - YouTube will block the URL if I include it here. Click on the 'Generation' tab at the top and then 'Planning for the future' on the left hand navigation panel. I'll get back to you on the flats question, it's a good one!

  • Hi again @auran5 You asked about how micro generation would work for flats? Go to the E.ON Talking Energy website and click on 'Our Responsibilities' then 'case studies' and then 'low carbon society'. You'll find a link to information about the Dalston Square development which has its own decentralised energy network.

  • @talkingenergy

    Thanks!

  • I hope this can be reached.

Localised cheap green energy for the people.

  • @randyblandy Thanks for commenting. We have more plans for home based microgeneration for our customers, its what we call the small energy world.

  • I do like it, people who care will pay attention, not sure about the rest. Thanks for sending it.

  • @pearlflower Thanks for your comments. Please send the link to anyone you think will find it interesting.

  • Really nice animation - complex issues told in a coherent/easy to understand way - with fantastic visual images to illustrate it, i love it

  • @zarapercy1 Glad you like it. We're going to continue having this debate on the channel so please come back and see what's new.

  • localized energy is the way forward, people need to take more responsibility for the energy they use and stop wasting it!

  • @chetbaker68 Thanks for your comment. Youre right, weve all got a role to play in saving energy. You might be interested in the energy saving advice weve put together at E.ON challenge online.

  • Thanks for sending this to me. My contributions (La Cocina Solar/ Volar con Energía Solar) on You Tube require English subtitles, just as this one needs Spanish. The more we can dissolve the language barrier the more we can spread the message. Perhaps fading in the faces of the speakers would "grab" more of the viewer´s attention without interfering with the simplicity of the graphics.

  • @SpiralsWorkinConcert Thanks for your comment. Well look into subtitling our videos.

  • @SpiralsWorkinConcert

If you do choose to incorporate Spanish subtitles, there are young men and women quite expert at this here in UACM where I teach and who need the work!

Quality results at lower costs..."talking energy"!

  • Exelente ! ;gracias ,desde argentina.

  • @bellinivernon De nada! Thanks for your comment.

  • I for one... would love some solar panels, and a windturbine. if everyone does a little bit, then a lot of power could be generated..which might mean we don't need half as many new power stations. Imagine having most of your house powered on solar energy free from the sun.. that would probably make everyone think about how much energy they use at home.

  • @banzooey Thanks for your comment. We all have a part to play in saving energy and the more we keep talking about the issue the more people will start to make a change. You might also be interested in the solarsaver pages on E.ON UK online.

  • Outstanding video.

  • @solarcalifornia Thank you! Please let us know what you think of the others on this channel.

  • interesting

  • @skaterboy21292 Thanks for commenting. Its a tricky debate and one were going to continue having on this channel.

  • Very nice. Thanks !

  • @RenzoColameo Thanks for your comment, glad you like the video.

  • Well you see to me solar power is out of date so is win and wave genorators.

Every one want to know what I know but that would mean no more power companys and every house is a self contained power plant of a small size with no wast.

Help me to make a city in space and then I will let you know all about self contained citys and homes and space citys.

  • @JennerPomo Thanks for your comments. Each form of energy has pros and cons, but we believe the only way to achieve the amount of power we need is to use a combination of new nuclear, cleaner fossil fuels and renewables. You might be interested in our solarsaver pages at E.ON UK online. We have more plans for home based microgeneration for our customers, its what we call the small energy world.

  • Great video, could I mirror this video on my channel?

  • @BrutusCass sure!

  • execellent. well put together and very creative.

  • @jamesshaddick Thank you! Please have a look around the channel and let us know what you think of the others.

  • challenging

  • @DEQVF Thanks for your comments. Its a tricky debate and one were going to continue having on this channel.

  • the time for talking about this is over - people need to start saying yes, to more wind farms, more nuclear plants and other visually intrusive plants.

  • @shaper252 no to nuclear plants, cant get rid of the waste, we just stick it underground.

  • @cyaninternetdog @shaper252 Thanks for your thoughts. We believe that the way to ensure our energy supply in the UK is to use new nuclear power, cleaner fossil fuels and renewables. Underground storage facilities are agreed to be the best for the UKs nuclear waste, were just waiting for the Government to decide where. You might be interested in the SKB website which describes what will happen to the nuclear waste from the nuclear power station at Oskarshamn in Sweden, which we have a stake in.

  • fantastic - thought provoking video

  • @missiformation Thanks. We wanted to do something different to get people talking about the issue. Its a tricky debate and one were going to continue having on this channel.

  • Nice clip!!

  • @marrrena81 Thanks!

  • charity begins at home. So instead of blaming the government, we should start cleaning dirt from our own houses first. If each one of us realize the importance of using renewable sources of energy to the maximum we can, we can contribute towards the overall effect that is bound to come. After all we should not mess up with nature, otherwise it is going to come back on us harshly.

  • @MsMarisha7 Thanks for commenting. Youre right, energy and the environment are everyones issues and we all have a role to play in moving towards a low carbon future. Were looking at ways of cleaning up fossil fuels and are a big player in renewable power around the world weve already built the worlds largest wind farm at Roscoe in Texas and now, with our partners, weve started onshore work on the worlds largest offshore wind farm in the Thames approaches.

  • Massively dull. Long with a tedious and un-engaging voice-over. I didn't get past 30 secs...

  • @alexarnorosen How do you know it's tedious if you didn't get past 30 seconds... I'd expect comments from people who actually watched it, not someone who gives up less than 1/4 of the way through and provides such negative feedback. Are you connected with the industry or are you just in a bad mod?

  • @SparTAKKY @alexarnorosen Thanks for your thoughts. All comments are welcome, not just the positive ones. Dont forget that its real people rather than a voiceover man giving their thoughts on the future of energy.

  • Is it right that the wind farm contractors will make millions out of our pockets for a system which is flawed -China in its wisdom builds a new coal ever 10 days ,is hungry for oil ,iron and puts the cost of crude oil up due to supply. Yet we continue to import their manufactured goods. Solar power is to expensive ,so the way ahead like it or not is nuclear but our politicians are frightened to say so!

  • @m2mot Thanks for your comments. We believe that we need to use all forms of energy in order to keep things running and reduce emissions, which includes new nuclear power, cleaner fossil fuels and renewables.

  • Very thought provoking and to the point....nice work guys ;-)

  • @tracpitch Thank you! Please let us know what you think of the other videos on the channel.

  • We all have a Sky dish when in reality we don't all need one but someone is making money and that seems to be the main thing. Politicians do nothing except try to keep things the way they already are. The little girl right at the end makes the most important point. Too much energy is wasted... from the mouths of babes, huh.

  • @SparTAKKY Thanks for your comment. We believe that this isnt a policy debate for politicians, its about keeping homes warms and streets lit. You might be interested in our manifesto Carbon, cost and consequences which is available online at E.ON UK in the 'Generation' section.

  • Policy tip for Gordon Brown/David Cameron/Nick Clegg - Solar panels for everyone for free!

  • I agree with @25CS! Thanks for your comment and great idea. You might be interested in our solarsaver pages at E.ON UK online.

  • Governments, and indeed most of the populace, will do nothing because of the cost involved - until it is too late and then there will be all hell to pay. Mark my words..........

  • Great Clip.

We have the technology now, why are the Governments not doing anything about it?

Because they will lose out - unless they can introduce a renewable tax I wonder?

  • @NatureWasFirst @IamLittleSteven Thanks for your comments. We think this is an urgent issue and were looking Government to act on it. If you want to know more you can read our manifesto Carbon, cost and consequences which is available online at E.ON UK in the 'Generation' section.

  • lovely animation, bit long

  • @chetbaker68 Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you think.
