  • Thyssen bought Dover in 1999, then merged with Krupp in 2000. The Dover name was kept until 2000. The ThyssenKrupp name started appearing in 2000. ThyssenKrupp made Impulse first, then Traditional.

  • Nice elevator. i will agree the lantern does sound a little sick. But overall, this is a nice elevator. But it is also just a basic Thyssenkrupp elevator.

  • @elevatorman247 it was Thyssen

    thyssenkrupp was not until 2000...

  • Wtf

  • @yanoxc Yes we like filming elevators..

  • yes we film elevators

  • That's an interesting name since that name is used on one of the london underground tube lines ; Central Line;

  • so this elevator could be a ThyssenKrupp from 1999

  • or a dover from before 1999 that was either relabeled by thyssenkrupp (like the one at my school) or modernised in 1999

  • @cubsrule2040 No i think 2000 or 2001.

  • so when was the Dover name dropped altogether?

  • That's correct, and basically, the UT Austin Parking Garage #7 & Bob Bullock Museum elevators are two videos of the last Dover elevators.

  • Yes, but on the other hand, this might be a newer style (1999-2000) series Dover elevator with a replacement ThyssenKrupp sign on the control panel.
