Nah, I think you should recheck that actually. Halo was actually written for Leona Lewis in 2007 but her next album wasn't scheduled until this year and Ryan Tedder offered it to Beyoncé whose album came out Nov. 18, 2008. I'm pretty sure that Halo was recorded early 2008, which was when Mariah was still knee-deep in E=MC2 so Inseparable was recorded THIS year. So like I said.... Borrowed.

Ok, you're not listening and you're still wrong. 2 things: 1) Mariah didn't record this first. Beyoncé was recording Halo just as Mariah was RELEASING E=MC2 at the beginning of '08. Mariah didn't START recording this album until 2009, when Bey's CD came out last November. Halo was recorded long before Mariah recorded this song. 2) you COMPLETELY missed my point, I was only saying that both songs have that part in common, no matter who recorded THAT PART first, which was Beyonce.
