Gearing can make a larger difference in speedo error. That is why I asked. His speedo climbs pretty fast for such a heavy car. It must be making 600+hp to keep the needle moving that fast...and probably tops out in 6th not much faster than this video shows.

Do a calculator... at 6200 rpms (what he revs it to) you see 52-54 on the speedo... which is a 3.42 (bone stock for M6) rear gear.. learn your fucking cars before you start bitching about something that could smoke your fucking doors off.

perosnaly i have an ls3 bored out to 6.6 which is 402 i put out 580 at the wheels on 110 closer to 520-530 on the 93 shit but at the same time i have 250 surprise that puts me closer to 800... i think this guys number are a lill low or extremely Conservative although i must say my power is extremely affected to heat and humidty...

Oh, probably more than that on the engine alone! (that is if you go the route of buying a new one from GM). A Chevy dealer in RI listed one for more than 12 grand! You can probably shop around and find one cheaper, but I don't think think you'll save all that much.

almost looks like you have ring and pinion gears and did not reprogram your speedometer, not saying if you did or not but I used to mess with people in my T/A by doing this making them think they were going faster then we were. But then again I could not see out of your car when you were doing this so I cannot say but your speedometer climbed really fast even in the top end but then again I have no clue what you have done just looked a little fast for it to get to top speed.

Not entirely stock engine, he's got a little bit of work done to it to make 520hp at the wheels. Look at the rpm's, he's shifting between 6500 to 7000 rpm, LS1's cant do that reliably unless internally built to take those rpm's. The guy is also running 3.72 gears which is a tiny step up from 3.42 gears.
