  • AGES AGO ?!! That was 5 episodes ago Michaella ! xDD

  • The Lullaby Dr. Mike sang to Brian is the same Lullaby in the Movie that Jane Seymour did called "Yesterday's Children" such a pretty tune. I think it's an Irish lullaby.

  • I think that children do need a spanking on the tushy every so often if they are disobedient but that's it. I remember when I was bad while we were out of the house, Mom would say I would get a spanking at home. It was the long drive home, knowing that I was going to get spanked, was the fearful part. But mom would often times wait until her anger passed to spank me because she knew if she did it out of anger, she would do a lot more then spanking.

  • Actually she would always wait until the anger passed before she would spank me. But so many people go overboard with discipline and take it to where they are beating their children.

  • I adore the story the reverend tells at the end tho. Its beautiful.

  • This episode kind of annoys me, since corporal punishment was commonplace and often expected in those times. Including the use of rulers on hands and legs, and the manhandling of students. I get that its pretty much non-existant NOW but in the late 1800's teachers were even dismissed if it was thought they were too "soft" with their pupils. Oh well... I am suspending my disbelief!

  • @TheJezgurl I know. Besides, the students would never have mouthed off at the teacher or if they did, pa was waiting for them at home with a belt to hit on the butt with. Also I think just the humiliation of standing infront of a class, facing the corner was punishment in a big way. The ruler rap on the hands was big too. Hey, think of Farmer Boy in the little house series. That one boy was acting up in class all the time so Almanzo's pa let the teacher borrow the snake whip used on bulls.

  • Reverend told that story beautifully.

  • When kids aren't raised right they are left with mental/emotional holes and miss Louise had a BIG one. Not that that absolves her of her adult responsibility but when people are that mean with out even seeming to realize it (it's "normal" to them) often you can trace it back to upbringing. Horrible. Strict is one thing (my dad was very strict) but vicious is another.

Glad to see Dorothy making some sense in this episode, we're cool again. lol Would have been nice if Jake spoke up earlier.

  • 23.26 It looks like Sully reacted pretty much like me. (I watched 23.00 again and started crying all ower again, worse!)

  • 23.03 I actually started crying too! Not the "tears rolling quietly down your cheeks" kind either. I was really weeping. Poor little Brian.

  • Omg I love that lullaby!! All The Pretty Little Ponies. I first heard in on the movie Flicka and fell in love with it!!

  • Good grief that woman was whack job

  • Comment removed

  • I thought that it was already established in the episode "Life and Death" that Bryan now slept in the barn. Holes, people, holes!

  • @BooPandah Lmao yeah, I know they had a lot of holes but still it's so much better than the CRAP on t.v. today you know?

  • @Skydancer1971 Its called "suspending your disbelief" :-P

  • Oooh Sully looks so handsome in the church, and the look Dr Mike gives him..looks like love.

  • @ohhthepossibilities I know I would too lol!

  • She should have started her song lower.. No one could fall asleep to that. haha

  • Awww poor Bryan!

  • Eewww preacher trying to woo a woman.. This is hard to watch.

  • @ohhthepossibilities Preachers can have relationships, I.E. as in a wife. You're thinking of Priests, they can not marry.

  • @Skydancer1971 I wasn't saying that he couldn't have a relationship.. Just that it wasn't easy to watch the preacher trying to woo a woman.. He's just really awkward..

  • @ohhthepossibilities Oh! I guess it was how I read it, Duh! I thought you meant that, sorry! But hey, now if someone does get confused, they will see the comment and know better. It is really weird but I found out that a lot of people think that if a person is a reverend, pastor etc they think they can not marry, it was really surprising to me? Just a little tidbit of info I thought I would share with ya since we are on the subject. Weird though too,

  • @ohhthepossibilities I was waiting at my Dr office yesterday for them to get my next appointment and get my paperwork ready for the surgeon I need to go see, the stones have to be removed I now got 8 of them whaaa.:(( but these women were talking about their new "HOT" as they called their pastor and they had to be in their mid 20s and the one goes too bad he can't marry, and the other said yeah I know what a waste huh, I was like what? So I asked them which religion they were, they said

  • @ohhthepossibilities Baptist, I said why do you think that he can't marry? and the woman goes "because, he's a pastor they can't get married."

The nurse and me look at each other and of course we giggle, and the nurse said, Honey, you're both wrong, I'm Baptist so I know full well THAT man can marry, you're thinking of Priests, they were both were like NO, that's not right, if you're a pastor, Reverend, priest, elder you can't marry. Then they INSISTED on proving us wrong. LMAO

  • @ohhthepossibilities THEY did! the woman CALLED the church and was all puffed up nose in the air said, WILL you PLEASE tell THIS woman who claims to be Baptist and this other lady that our PASTORS CAN NOT get married.

the man, starts laughing and goes I can marry, so can the other pastors here, you're thinking of a Priest, that woman got so mad at him she hung up. I was like WOW! I just thought I would share that I think it was sort of weird how that happened. I had to share that.

  • @Skydancer1971 haha wow... well then, for anyone watching.. there is nothing wrong with the Reverend wanting to get married, just kinda awkward to watch him date!

  • @ohhthepossibilities Yeah, lol! Kind of like trying to imagine Mr. Rogers with his arms covered in tattoos lol. Timmy there just don't have his game on! LOL

  • @Skydancer1971 hahahaha love it.

  • @TheJezgurl Im not even a christian and i knew that :-P

  • Gosh... Jane Seymour is so gorgeous.
