  • lol so tiny...looks like a leech

  • dont them eels hurt u

  • It looks like an american eel to me,and eletric eels aren't true eels, they're knife fish :D

  • @NamesUsedUp1

They are actually different. There are a select few marine animals that can produce electricity. Knife Fish and Elephant Nose fish use specially developed organs to produce a weak electrical field to navigate through dark waters and to find prey items. Electric Eels produce a very powerful electrical jolt that they use to stun their prey so that they can catch food easier. Also the Electric Eels jolts can even stun a fully grown horse.

  • holy shit. I actually jumped when the camera person laughed :/

  • LOL ..

  • electric ells are fresh water

  • hey! The eels glitching! I saw that! He must have a bad bandwith or ping.....goddam cheaters! >:\

  • electric

wtf why do you think that smartass?

  • not all eels are eletric dumb ass

  • @MarinePkG this eel shown is definately not an electric one. Electric eels live in the amazon. I am not criticizing you. I know you are right. I cannot believe those people think that eel is electric. It's a common sea eel.

  • sounds like amir..

  • definitely an eel, definitely not an electric eel

  • electric eels live in the amazon river dumbass

you found it in a tide pool

    thats most likely a leech

  • @DaGiangsta you have right about the amozone part

but a leech doesnt jump when it is on the land

    it crawls then

  • I think thats a baby eel because u can sorta see a faint mouth and eyes at 0:05.

  • Electric eels live in the Amazon river, not in tide pools. Also, thats not an eel, it is a leech or a blenny.

  • dumbass

    its not an eel

    thats a leech

  • @XDWARRIOR2 idiot....

  • @XDWARRIOR2 a leech doesnt jump like that

i know because i had one

  • not an electric eel. yeah! you are great biologists!!

  • did it shcok u

  • salt water electric eels? you guys a sure are the best biologists

  • @shoopwhoopX

Unfortunately, most people insist that all eels are electric -_-

    Those people fail biology forever.

  • @KeijiKG people think their electric that electric that about eels because the movies are making peoples mind dead and are scared of any other eels. look at its shape its mouth its eyes its habitat now look at a real electric eel see frikin diffrence!!!!!!!!

  • @KeijiKG I did not know that o.o

  • @DemonicAli

In fact, the closest relatives the electric eels aren't even eels at all. The freaking catfish is more of a close relative to those things!

  • No, guthaninfested, they really do use REAL electricity! They have three pairs of organs, located in their abdomens, that produce electricity. They are the Main, Hunter's, and Sach's organs. An EOD (electric organ discharge) of 500 volts and 1 ampere (a unit of electric current) of was recorded for a 1 meter long individual was recorded. They can generate enough electricity to kill a grown man. There are electric rays and electric catfish too. They produce real electricity as well.

  • there is electric catfish?

  • looks like a leech

  • thats not crule becasue he dident kill or hurt it

  • omg, that scared me!

  • sure that eel likes breakdance

  • hahaha jumpy little thing

  • Wow, that's amazing!

  • iv had a pond leech on my thumb once went to pick a stone outa the water to skim across the water it was sticking to my thumb, tryied to pull it off, wouldnt budge

only thing u can do to get em of is burn em with a lighter, not enuf to kill em just to shock em

  • thats what i done :P

  • salt works as well

  • how come the leech didnt suck ur blood

  • it did-.-

  • blennie

  • its a leech not an eel

  • a leech doesnt do that

  • yeah, fuck picking that shit up.

  • jump, jump, jump

  • if it were an electric eel you would feel like you were in the electric chair almost

  • No.. robin they only shock that big at full adult size that size would feel like you put a batery on your tounge :)

  • no its the bite, evry 1 thinks the eel conducts electricity or somethin,it doesnt, its bite is wat feels like electricity

  • your an idiot, why do you think they call it an electric eel, cause they actually conduct a electrical charge when they feel Threaten or when there hunting for prey.....

  • ur rite man ive never seen a leech in person but i saw it on tv now so ya ur rite but calm down man

  • its not when they bite its when u feel just watch the wild boys episode when they touch 1 and it shocks them

  • they make a buzz from thetail duh, but its not real electriciity its just a shock feeling

  • They give off an electrical charge that can reach up to 600v depending on the size.

  • NOT an electric. Electric Eels live in the Amazon. That's a baby Conger.

  • thats not an elect6ric eel

  • Babies can't gave electric shock, adults can [I can't explain that cause I'm not English]
