US government cannot go bankrupt, it can print infinate amount of money to meet its debt obligations, which are dollar-denominated. Fiscal crisis? Unable to pay all the government debt? Why not print more money? Just add more zeros to the new money. And that's what the government has been doing in the past couple of years. They call it "inflation", basically a destruction of people's wealth. And dollar has fallen 50% against Euro since 2000.
Maybe we need more tax cuts! Or better yet, let's have government send out checks to people so we can spend our way out of this recession, or prepare to fight a war against Iran. Social Security is a huge problem. Look into its history and how it was started: the age they originally selected was the average age of death. Therefore 50% of the people were only supposed to receive benefits (not the working class as advertised). The age limit was to adjust over time - something that has been blocked by the Dems. Soc sec was never intended to support the working class as it has become.

I noticed Walker didn't mention the biggest reason the Medicare Prescription drug bill costs trillions is because it's a Bush giveaway to Big Pharma. I remember Senator Bob Dole making the point in the 1970s that he didn't see any protesters in Washington objecting to the national debt. Our government thinks we can live beyond our means and campaigns are run on the premiss that officials are elected based upon how much they can promise to the right group of voters. I vote for the candidate who promises the least. Needless to say, there aren't many candidates who appeal to me anymore.

What I really mean, though, is that "supplemental emergency spending bills" pay for these wars off-the-books. They're loading up on debt that someone has to pay...and that someone will be the next generation.

The Bush Tax Cuts resulted in a gain in revenue because many brokers knew the law would be passed and got their clients to hold off on cashing in until after the new rate showed up. The whole "promotes trading" thing is just bull. Just look at long-term revenue, not short-term gain. People who sit on their butt doing NOTHING PRODUCTIVE pay 15% tax while people who actually PRODUCE SOMETHING OF VALUE pay 30+%.
This isn't about those tax cuts anyway. Who pays for the war, you or your kids?

US government cannot go bankrupt, it can print infinate amount of money to meet its debt obligations, which are dollar-denominated. Fiscal crisis? Unable to pay all the government debt? Why not print more money? Just add more zeros to the new money. And that's what the government has been doing in the past couple of years. They call it "inflation", basically a destruction of people's wealth. And dollar has fallen 50% against Euro since 2000.

Social Security is a huge problem. Look into its history and how it was started: the age they originally selected was the average age of death. Therefore 50% of the people were only supposed to receive benefits (not the working class as advertised). The age limit was to adjust over time - something that has been blocked by the Dems. Soc sec was never intended to support the working class as it has become.

It was great up until the vote for Ron Paul Banner....That's like saying Hey we've got a couple trillion in debt and i'm gonna hire this guy who thinks we should get rid of the IRS, Department of Education, Treasury Department and expect everyone to just pickup the tab on their own....I'm sure all the crooked politicians and business men want to but they don't cause there's a government.

All the U.S. has to do is stop spending billions on a war that we've already lost. Honestly, in the past hundred years deficits are more common than surpluses by a large margin. I completely agree that the U.S. is overspending, but not collapsing. And telling people who we all know are prone to panic that they should panic is just plain wrong.

The real problem is overspending on the US military. There is no real problem with obligations towards its citizens, but spending 1 trillion per year on taxpayer funded military adventures to benefit private contractors is a poor investment. That is why under Ronald Reagan, George Bush and George W. Bush deficits and debt have spiked.
