does anyone know the name of the b52 movie made in the late 80s or 90s? The crews had to fly out to bomb russia as i recall.

@zapazoid I believe that was the HBO film "By Dawns Early Light" from 1990 with Powers Boothe, Rebecca De Mornay, Martin Landau & James Earl Jones.

Good movie. Interesting to note- At the time of its 1957 release, Natalie Wood, playing the character of Lois Brennan, was 19 years old. Her love interest in the movie, Colonel Jim Herlihy, played by Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., was 39 years old. A 20 year difference. Talk about robbing the cradle.

I was 7 years old when this was made. We lived only about 3 miles from Castle AFB in Calif. where it was made.
