  • Fuck sake, I'd do anything to be able to play this.

  • 12 people like justin bieber

  • I was 15 in 1972 when this song came out and it blew me away. This is still the greatest rock and roll song ever and you are doing it justice! Great job, this is going on my ipod!

  • Most impressive; thanks for isolating that middle synth part; need to do it for the band I'm in; you gave me the hints on how to do it.

  • Great playing and vocals !! Thanks for posting.

  • Singing WHILE you can play the piano...not as easy as it looks.

  • 12 people can't appreciate someone who can actually play a musical instrument.

  • PLEAS PLEAS PLEAS MAKE A TUTORIAL !!

  • Brilliant playing, stunning and I love the voice! Great feeling!

  • You sound like Pete Towns.hend

  • 12 person can't play that on piano

  • Do you mind if I use snippets of this for a puppet show? We're doing another episode of a Sherlock farce called "Game is Afoot" at a local theater and thought a piano version of this song might help a few of the jokes. Thanks for your time,

    Sketch MacQ

  • My dude, really consider going on a Americas got talent for 2012. Let me know if you will consider

  • yeah, only thing is you forgot to trash the room at the end.

  • That's what happen when mozart starts listening to The Who

  • 12 people were fooled

  • Wow you are amazing, great cover.

  • This is going into my car's mp3 player.

  • you got talent

  • You sir, I my new guru. Anyway I can measure your vital signs and transform them into a song called Stewboz O'Riley?

  • tutorial perhaps? please.

  • haha i love how you play entwistles bass lines thats sick

  • Mann... U R SooOOoo AMAZINGG!!. Thank GOD for YOUTUBE!!!.........Sitting alone in my room, i couldn't help but CLAP ALONG YOUR PIANO!!! U R A JEWEL!!!!

  • look...I'm sick of this stewboz83...you are jamming at an unbelievably frightening level and I can't take it anymore...it's too good mate so just stop it...

  • awesome......the band had a studio with experts make this shit right...ok...you're awesome in your living room and making this sound frking great !!!!! I was about 18 back then....love the way you play it ...you get the eneergy of it ! the WhO was all about energy...

  • Awesome job

  • I would love to see your cover of You Better You Bet or My Generation if you haven't done it.

  • GOD!!

  • wow. absolutely tremendous. Super-nice job !

  • Excellent work of combining the whole band feel onto one keyboard. That's the one man band spirit!

  • waaaaay JERKEY like beef baaaad timing like a china town rolex

  • you should do 5:15

  • Very good fella!!!!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Put this to use!

    Try out for something!

    You're not just another wannabe

    You're freaking awesome!

  • Any chance you can play this on a self-scribing keyboard that will write down the score? I know they aren't cheap or that readily available yet, but I just absolutely LOVE this song. I think of this song as the Who's signature (along with Pinball Wizard, Who Are You, and My Generation).

  • Any Chance you have the sheet music for this?

  • That was so legit... Alot better than I thought it would be

  • Yes, You are ready for Carnegie Hall. This is really a Super rendition of a classic..

  • good job, but i liked Barba O'Riley a bit more..do you do any other Who?, espec from "Who's next" or maybe Quadraphenia or Tommy..wouldn't mind hearing " The Amazing Journey" & "Sparks"

  • respect for not attempting scream.

  • Throw the piano against a speaker!!! Hmm... for some reason I don't see that being as entertaining as Pete Townshend with his guitar, though it would be funny to watch...

  • you forgot

    (puts on glasses)

    to scream

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow!!

  • Townshend is a real genious.Or a visionary i vwould say....

Awesome job on this one!!!!!!Mind blowing....

  • What are you doing in your living room, go to a stage!

  • Another great job man. I agree, you a mimicking one of the greatest bands in history.

  • This is how a piano should be played. Fuck Mozart and the rest of that crap. This is heart and soul.

  • @Simon69ification I agree that this is good piano playing, but don't put down people like mozart, anything that is a challenge to play is heart and soul. respect all music that at least puts an effort in it. If you mentioned justin beiber as being crap then i'd agree with you

  • I honestly cannot believe this. The chords are SPOT ON. Did you really pick this out completely by ear, or did you use some sort of MIDI file, or what? Whatever you do, keep it up.

  • You are good

  • Who's disliking this?

  • @nobears29

    12justin bieber fans

  • When you sang ''NO NO!'' I gotta admit i laughed when i heard that. But aside from that, this was awesome! Keep it up man

  • Thankyou for all of your hard work Stew, you have made it so much easier for us who can play the piano, especially by ear. You have merged other parts and syncopated beats from the bass and drums. Impressive indeed. Your voice is good too. On pitch and all yours, not Roger's. I think he's be o.k. with it and flattered that you are a 'The Who' nut! I'm gonna try this now-not to your standard- but I think you 'own it.' By the way I'm British and not easily swayed. Thanks again.

  • Stewboz83. I think you're awsome. I am gonna try this one. You're a great teacher. Thankyou!

  • Can I just say I enjoy listening to these videos just as much as I love listening to the originals.. thank you for doing this, man.

  • If I could play and sing like this my life would be complete!

You are one seriously talented man! I hope you have some sort of Musical career because you talent is far too good to be limited to here.

Well done my friend, you have a lot to be proud of.

  • Nice job! love how you played the bass parts too. I love the bass in that song

  • Impressionner! o_0

  • First class lots of guts and lots of courage to play and sing and upload on YouTube. Dont worry about vocals - its never easy playing and singing at same time. When I play solo I dont sing and its sounds hollow. Your however have given it extra depth with your singing. Trickey number well performed, well done.

  • You walk on water my friend

  • I don't know about anyone else, but I'd pay good money to see this live.

  • great job

  • why didn't you scream waaaaahh when you should! :D..just kidding, great job!

  • wow. i'm a bass guitarist, and i'm real impressed with how well you've played the bassline on piano. many other piano covers tend to just follow the root notes in the lower octave. very impressive.

  • WIN!!!

  • i could never find a version of the 2nd synth solo, thanks a lot, man!

  • great version! amazing version

  • you should probably try playing some of an old england rock group called genesis.

    just throwing that out there....

  • I love how you replicated johns bass playing with your left hand. thats amazing.

  • its very good ! can you send me the tabs ?

  • good job!

  • Absolutely bloody marvellous! I mean...I doubt I could get sick of watching this one. I'm gonna watch it again!

  • how did they get fooled?

  • @codypg water gate with nixon

  • The Hippie's changed nothing. The Woodstock generation had false dreams and ideologies. Be sceptical of change because I'm just the same as the last fella that was up here.

  • @300MUSIC

    You're kidding, right?

  • Incorrect.

  • 1st

  • nice

  • woow, where do you found the tabs?

  • Tabulator is meant for guitars. I believe Stew doesn't use manuscript/tabs - he is just FREAKING awesome and does it with his ears/brain.

  • I would say "wow" but MY WHOLE FACE WAS BLOWN OFF BY AWESOME! My only complaint is that you didn't pronounce grin like green! That's a big part of the song for me! vut otherwise, EEEEPPPPIIIICCCCC

  • I'm also pretty impressed.

I would be very pleased if you could tell me where you got the notes from. Or did you just hear it? I nearly searched a whole day long in the internet just to find the sheets but there was nothing that looked good. Do you bought a sheetbook?

  • I am absolutely impressed. I would give my eye teeth to be able to play "Won't Get Fooled Again" like you do.

  • Gosh! That's not bad kid!

  • great

  • ohh great not this kid again! ok now im doing"wont get fooled again" for the spring concert!

  • Comment removed

  • Much respect, but what if you tried the synth bits with the pedal down to avoid that plunky "Chopsticks" feel?

  • I hold the pedal down for the first half of each reapeating riff in order to slighly avoid the plunky feel, but I can't hold it down through the "second interval" licks because it will be too muddy, and there won't be enough distinction between the notes. At least thats what I discovered in the learning process.

  • woww 13 years and I have heard many songs by The Who and Woodstock but I never felt like playing the piano compliments the music and fine musician!

  • @Martunez a synthesizer is choppy....

  • A bit stiff.

  • Thats how I roll........ stiffly. I roll stiffly.

  • @stewboz83 Noooo my friend you were supposed to say "That's what she said"

  • If only I had it to do over, thats what i would have said.

  • I notice you play the greatest bands rendition. The Who which is great.Keep up the good work. All you need now is a bassist, drummer, vocals and you do a Who tribute band there is like 40 of them out there.

  • I play the bass parts with my left hand. If I actually had a bass player playing with me, I would have the change the way I play the piano. Thats no good. I wouldn't mind having a guitarist just for the solos, but they would have to be spot on to satisfy me. As for vocs, I love singing them so much, I wouldn't feel that great about getting another singer, even if they were better.

  • ok i can go with that you probraly are better off alone.

  • stuff like this is what makes me want to learn piano

  • Me too. I want a keyboard for my birthday now (It's in April)

  • holy shit. Dude write me back, your going places.

  • Dude..holy shit..you rock...

  • back in the day diana krall was my piano teacher and she always told me not to use my thumbs and look at this guy !

Fuck you diana your still a loser !

  • thumbs do add utility although they are not traditional used to play black keys. I find that I must use them anywhere and everywhere in order to maintain my personal style.

  • wow the triplet around 5:20! you have excellent balence between hands, were you clasically trained?

  • sort of. I had taught myself prior to entering college though.

  • fuk man your are fuking awsome

  • sweet can you tell me where you got the music

  • He just works out his own arrangement. Notation is useful but it's no substitution for just knowing your way around an instrument.

  • You make me moist, Stew. You rock!

  • oh lord. LOL

  • aww no scream? lol. Great cover though

  • I don't have a very good rock scream so I opted out

  • Absolutely stellar.

  • Thanks man, you are a one man Who experience! All you need now is a laser light show

  • @Bd951 Nah, he needs to find some way to lift up the piano and start crashing it around stage, Pete Townshend style.

  • @IvoriesAblaze At this point, I would like to smash the thing. I've been trying to give it away for a month now.

  • Dang, where is Keith when you need him!

  • oh my god you are ridiculous stewart! this is just amazing!!

  • Bravo to you and your most excellent piano versions of Who classics! They have more piano and keyboards than people give them credit for.

  • tutorial please?

  • i play piano so can you make a tutorial please :)

  • Holy shit. That's some nice playing and singing.

  • Oh!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very, very impressive. You would make the Who proud!

  • Hi - Great stuff!

What are the bass notes you are playing around 48 to 50 secs in?

    Thanks for your help.

    Pete

  • this sounds so good on the piano :D

  • AMAZING!!!

Won't Get Fooled Again is probably the best rock song of all time, and you played insanely well on the piano.

Could you PLEASE!!!! make a tutorial???

    Once again, an AMAZING video.

    Great job, man.

  • its definitely on my list of top 10 rock songs :P

  • if only i could play piano like that ...

  • Manners just aren't your strong point, are they.

  • love the melody that starts from 0.33, you have talent man, best rock song in the world!

  • You have talent, dude. Long Live The Who!!!

  • Great Job!!

  • I love the way you include all the instrumental and melodic subtleties of the piece in your arrangement. Masterful; thanks.

  • Great job...aren't the Who amazing!!!

  • where did you get the parituree?

  • I know this song entirely on bass and drums. But it sounds so good on piano!

  • why nobody makes "how to play" / "tutorials" for this song

    can u make one???

  • Killer.Great arrangement on piano !

  • Hahaha you got a voice like mine, but you got great piano skills to make up for it unlike me!

  • Oh?.. you have an awesome voice, too?

  • Great arrangement. Could you do an overhead version please - would love to master it myself.

  • You're amazing!

  • nice, like ur singing too

  • YOU ROCK BIG TIME!!!! i especially loved 8:01-8:15 woo hoo!

  • Pete Townshend had to run a piano thru a synthesizer to come up with those intro harmonics. How on earth can you hear that well enough to manage to turn it into a normal piano part? You're a bloomin' genius.

  • copying a masterpiece like this is easy. Writing it is the real accomplishment

  • agree 100%.You are fantastic playing these Who classics.I have been a who fan since the 60s seen them about 8 times 4 times with Moon. The Baba o'rily piece you do is right on the nose townsend could not even do it better, but like you said townsend is the genius to write these masterpieces. Its true copying is not hard but to write and think of rythems is the real challenge.

  • I'm not going to argue with you on that point. But I'm still vehemently impressed with your dedication to acquire that degree of skill. And with that skill in hand, I know that when your masterpiece comes to you you'll be better prepared to pen it down than the rest of is - just let it come if it will and don't judge it if all it is is a note pure and easy.

  • Coooncha su mare...

    Te la lacto weon...

    Que maestro que eres... !!!

    Algún día la sacaré...

  • what does that mean?

  • what does the spanish mean?

  • sorry for double post, but just the intro if you have it. thank you

  • amazing! just like everyone else, can you send me the sheet music?

  • damn man, this is fucking incredible, keep it up

  • I love this version !!!!!!!!! <3 <3
