@starsweet4 Yes, please DO buy the DVDs. Without your purchase, they'll have proof that cult shows don't sell when released, and will cease releasing more great shows for fear of poor profits. I've waited about ten years for this, and I don't care if it has music or not. Licensing music is expensive, and frankly, I'd rather pay $50 for the set with generic music than a couple hundred just to hear some 5 second clips of songs.

I'm just entering highschool now, meaning this came on as I was a baby. My older sister told me about this show, and it's great to know that this humor is still applicable to my generation. I'm about to enter my last year in highschool, so this came out when I was around 6 (though in australia it didn't air till I was 7 or 8) and I watched it when it first aired. Its amazing watching it again and understanding the jokes the second time round instead of being a child thats genuinely interested in the plots alone. But yeah tv has just been getting worse and worse.

Same here, well actually this came when I was in 4th grade. I didn't get the humor back then...I was too into DBZ, Beavis and Butthead, and South Park. I remember her seeing her on B&B, but when her show came out, I didn't care for it. Now i'm sad, because while this show was airing I never looked at it and now that it's ended/cancelled I see how brilliant it was. It speaks to me, I see a lot of me in Daria. I miss the 90's. All these reality tv shows make you appreciate shows like this lol.

Yeah, you're completely right about reality shows, etc. It seems that the television networks just can't be bothered to scout for and nurture the genuine writing talent needed for writing shows like Daria.
