Get a weapon that can block (Not Gunlances because then his lightning spit will destroy you since Gunlances can't dodge very well at all) and block the scream/jump attack

I use Gunlances and i kill it 47 times....

But many people don't know to sheathe the weapon often, he sounded like he's not a super experienced player in all weapons so I recommended against it. Like the lance though, it's useful because you can block his electric body attack and hit him while he's stuck in the animation still.

Try to see his patterns and you can learn when hes about to growl. Right before he does just block and you wont flinch and you can run away if he jumps ;)
